Flea bath for the cats

Too chaotic for me and no technique. I can't laugh at their trauma. It is heart-breaking to see and hear. Vets have lots of ways to avoid this. There are much better ways to work with cats....even though I am convinced you love them dearly.

What else are you going to do? Those fleas need to die. If you can't laugh at it, other emotions will pop up. Like anger and frustration - it's not exactly a fun clean job and you'll be doing it for a few months.

Clearly these cats have a good home.

Also they are pets, not children. They won't be quiet even if you're saving their lives.

@56 you can see a flea jump onto the cats whisker...and then back into the fur. That bath would have not removed the fleas... not enough shampoo, and you need to use a flea comb, you also have to wash their entire head.

The best, healthiest & most effective treatment is DIATOMACEOUS EARTH.Give it a month or more to see results.Then keep giving it..make sure cats have access to drinking h2o! So DON'T use poisonous chemicals or drugs!!!Don't do that to them.Regular flea combing helps too.I usually take a flea comb, big bowl of hot water & toilet paper for this.Have pieces of tp ready. After combing the cats & finding fleas or flea eggs, wrap fur/fleas in tp,put in hot water, flush.Don't flush too much tp at once!

Not to mention chemicals poisonous to fleas may not necessarily be poisonous to mammals.

You're just abusing the definition of poisonous. These substances may be poisonous to humans when absorbed through the gut. Exposure on the skin is harmless.

Additionally if you're asserting that an anti-flea chemical is poisonous to humans, you will have to back this claim up with some evidence.

You know your NOT SUPPOSED to have the bath full of water then try to put the cat in...Experts say that its best to have the cat in the tub first then use a sprayer to get the cat wet starting from the neck down...NEVER BATHE THE FACE!!! They get too scared and attempt to escape....You want to approach the cat that your not going to kill them but your trying to help, Be calming and gentle....and try to praise the cat as its getting bathed. You also never want to be too loud or let the cat escape

Wow, your cats seem so calm. When I tried to bathe mine he would meow loudly and try to jump out of the tub (Succeeding about 3/4 of the time) .
