  • Idiots like this drive my business+ Geek squad... once you idiots are done getting peoples "PC fixed" or "Building it for them" they head down my way. Take your receding hairline ass the fuck out of here and find a new hobby... maybe at a thrift shop trying to hawk used shit at some unsuspecting folks. Sell power tools or even toilet seats at home depot. This not your carrier.

  • One very important tip is this - the first time you switch on the computer leave the case open and keep an eye on the cpu fan - if the fan does not start up within 4 seconds switch off the computer immediately and re-check electrical connections.

The last thing you want to do is cook your cpu on the first startup...

  • Idiotic Question: If I buy different parts/case, will all the components fit in the same way?

  • Really good video. my only question would be if all the cords automatically come with the parts or would i have to get them separately ? same goes for the mother board screws that hold it to the case....

  • Multi Media PC????? Where is the blue ray player, HDMI out for the TV, a multi media remote to control the computer, and a TV and surround sound stereo and popcorn and Pepsi to watch a movie? Other than that, great job.

  • This thing's pretty easy until I saw the fourth part.

  • great video.. thank a lot.. i enjoy it

  • part 4 sucks donkey dicks

  • I did all that and when I was trying to install windows the mouse would not work. Idont evenknow if the keyboard works..... any ideas please.....

  • @ShantiOoom check the powersupply to the warp processor, make sure that the GX5443 cable is plugged into the port that reads 76699765domys99X then configure the spirit bios and do a leploss transform and it should work!

  • @ShantiOoom You don't use the mouse at first when you install windows. You need to hit f8 and keys like that on your keyboard to get started.

  • thanks for posting this. I find all 5 parts of your video very helpful. I am gonna build a computer soon and luckily for me nowadays it will probably cost me not so much for a decent gaming computer :)

  • My brother's old built computer is dying, and it's about time for a new pc, I'm actually thinking of building one myself as I am somewhat pc knowledgable so I think I could it. However I do admit to being a screw up so I am a bit unconfindate, the tutorial looks very easy though, it helped me boost my confidence a little bit. LOL!

There is one problem, I can't afford 1,000$. LOL

Hopefully I can get the parts for around 300$ or so, it's going to be a while before I can get them though.

  • Can someone just let me know.... is it really that easy, i mean if you have the money, buy the parts, pop em together just like that!?

  • i think ur a little in the stone age with that floppy drive arnt you matt

  • @dmin65 It has a flash card reader in it so nope :P

  • Good walk through. Help me out a lot. Thanks for posting this.

  • Where does the sound card go?

  • you dont need one.

  • @Bluedonut1 if your motherboard already has audio ports, then you dont need one. The sound card goes in one of the PCI slots

  • Thanks Matt

  • where I can purchase a converter xfx?? sorry for my bad english

  • Thanks Matt :) feel better about DIY for PC's.

  • @virtuastudios dont be a smartass.

  • 5*

Best DIY video on YouTube. :D

  • one of the best vids i have seen on how to put together a pc nice

  • nice but the one where u connect everything to everything could be a little more clearer i guess ill just use the manuals

  • Easy to understand!!!

    Thanks =D

  • nice case.

  • Great Video!!! i feel confident now...Thanks for sharing the Knowledge:)

  • i thought this was common knowledge, lol.

  • the perfect guid

  • Part 1 is awesome

    Part 2 is Awesome

    Part 3 is ok

Part 4 is the most PAIN IN THE ASS

    Part 5 is awesome

  • perfect

  • Nice job! You explained a lot fo the important things that some tutorials skimp on. I'm about to start my new build and it's been about 4 years since I've built a new machine, so you've helped me refimiliarize myself :)

  • exactly my situation, its been a good few years since my last computer build too, i found this guide very good

  • GunskiMod,you are an IDIOT!don't vomit your ignorance in here. This lesson is very important for people who wants to learn and for you,get lost okey. Why do have a better voice?can you teach good lesson as this good guy did?You only contribute nonsense in this site so my advice, heed your mother's advice. You need to educate yourself once more.

  • shitty old computer and parts, l.

  • GREAT! now time to buy the parts.....

  • I watched all 5 parts even thought I already know how to build it and I was impressed how good he explains everything step by step. Great video 5/5.

  • Great helpful vid guy!

  • Cool guide. Btw I'm building my first pc soon and one of my concerns was getting all the parts to be compatible, anyone have any suggestions for parts?

  • it depends on the motherboard that you get, the motherboard im getting comes w. a sound card that has 7.1 channel surround sound. so i wont need to buy one. its alot easier to get a motherboard that has video and sound cards already on them that are decent. installing all them by urself with everything else is kinda a pain

  • Not really man, the expansion cards installation is very simple. With the integrated graphic solution you will find major limitations, for the integrated sound is the opposite, this is just fine for most of the users.

  • is was for me just cause my case was pretty cramped. There wasnt alot of space to work

  • um... im building a computer so do u need to buy a sound card or not?

  • it is optional but your computer will suck without a sound card

  • no it doesnt wtf....

do you even know anything about computers?

most computers will do fine with the onboard sound card

they will perform perfectly if you are not using expensive speakers..

  • it wont suck without one...but if ur motherboard has on board audio then you dont need 1. (look at its audio specs to decide if it will have good quality sound or not).

  • thanks a alot this is awesome

  • he could of at least shown us sum lights lol but nice demo

  • Easily the best how to on youtube.

  • best how to build a pc video(s) on youtube imho.

  • But it is from stupiden

  • Finally a really usefull guide!

    thanks dude!

  • I think it is helpful but you forgot the most important thing. You didn't show us how to connect all cables with the motherboard and i think for people without having a plan on building computers, it is the most important thing to show.

All in all it was very good but please remind my idea ;)

Sorry for my bad english, i'm german.

  • watch part 4/5

  • This is damn excellent, advice on what you might get and why you should and then how to put it all together.

  • brilliant, excellent, is there a word for the awsomeness of this guide? I really understand it all and you describe everything very detailed which is needed, I mean, you don't go looking for tutorials if you already know everything. Thanks alot!

  • Damn useful video, thanks.

  • Thank god a video that shows you how to do it and not just show a picture and later show what it looks like so thank you very much.

  • could this computer handle world of warcraft

  • duh!

  • why did i spend all those hours watching amatuer vidoes when i could've watched this instead?

  • This was my first time building a computer, and thanks to this guide, i got it built in under an hour! Thanks Matt!

  • Excellent guide. Thank you. Most guides I've seen give general directions in five minutes; "Plug this in here, then this, and make sure it clicks". That doesn't really help me, but this guide definitely did. Thank you. I might be able to do this by myself, now.

  • Thank you Mat

    this guide is awsome

  • excellent guide thank you

  • Well done. The best computer build illustration I've seen anywhere.

  • ok, thanks=)

  • what does (OEM) means?. and the oem verson i cheaper then the original, so can i use the cheap (OEM) VERSON ON MY PC?

  • an OEM means its made for pc manufacturers. like dell or mesh, so they can install their own software on it. BTW, on the OEM, the version of windows sort of attaches itself to the Mobo. so if you change the mobo, you need a new copy of vista. but everything else you can change. just bear that in mind

  • Idiot for buying with the best value prices on the net?

  • Vistas not bad, its new and has one or two problems but it only needs some updates and two brain cells so you know what oyu're actaully doing. Those two criteria filled, you'll be fine. 64bit pwnt. Good video guide.

  • vista sucks thats all i have to say

  • Linux forever !!!!!!

  • linux sucks!!! its for people who can't afford windows:)

  • I like you. We should have some whiskey and cigars some day, or starbucks and pastries. Oh yes, almost forgot, I totally agree. ^_^

  • an excelent job!

  • lol get vista ultimate!!!!! it kicks ass

  • what a waste of a pc, i cannot stand vista!!!!!!
