@fusock This is the PD syndicated copy. The beginning few minutes are removed. Hopefully Season 6 will be offically released by June 2012 from CBS. This is one of several episodes that the copyright was never renewed on thus it is in the public domain.
Thanks again, another great addition to a wonderful show. Gale Gordon what a treasure he and Lucy just were magnificent together. Jack is his usual stingy comic self. Great memories.
Co-written by one of Jack's former writers, Milt Josefsberg {who knew the "vault routine", which originated in January 1945, from working with Benny for 12 years} and Ray Singer, this originally aired on October 16, 1967. Jack later said the "vault scenes" on his own series were better on radio than television [he only attempted them twice on TV before this episode].
@fromthesidelines I think the vault scenes from Jack's television show aired in 1953 and 1961. I've searched for them but there is very little information online about them.
I was hoping that you upload Lucy and my dream came true, thank you Michael.
It's wonderful to see this redheaded crazy dame in action. Any luck on 'Here's Lucy?' the one with her daughter. All kinds of Lucy is good, I love them all.
@AfsAnehAfairytale I'm glad you liked it. I wish I could do "Here's Lucy" but it is not in the public domain. I remember the show well and it was very good :) -Michael
I remember this when it aired. Thanks so much for posting this!!

"The world doesn't need a 2nd Jack Benny, the first one ain't gonna leave" Oh, but why did you? It's true though that the legacy lives on.

I remember watching this show when I was a kid. Thank you for posting this! It doesn't get any better than Jack Benny and Lucy.

I tried 3 other search sites to find the vault scene and it seems that they are all the same.
