The Every Brothers' alternative and demo versions are just as good as the final versions. If you visit Nashville you can take a tour of Studio B and stand on the very spot where these songs were recorded.
@sherrillwallace: Hi Sherrill: I don't see the comment any more, but I don't know the time frame between when they got the song from Roy and this recording. The amazing thing to me is the way the really great songwriters would share their songs, and the fact that Roy gave them this one because they loved it so much!
Love their quicker tempo songs... Thanks Loretta! Also for the shoebox-top info! :-) Interestingly, for me this is the only version I've ever heard (besides Roy's), though I had only just discovered the Everlys.
Gheez; $2.00 is alot of money, but I am willing to spend it on the Everly's.(even though I could've bought about five milk shakes with that that money).
@EverlyLove : You could have saved 50 cents by buying an advance ticket like I did! The better to save up for the new Everly 45's! ( We only played 45's in those days) My fourth attempt to use the comment section in the new format - which just POPPED UP a few minutes ago! ANYWAY - This new format is giving me a headache! This time I paused the video so it wouldn't go flying off the page while I was still typing! Maybe it will post this time!
@justmusicandme - I'm having the SAME problems, Loretta, they've made the biggest mess ever this time. I'm finding I must move my cursor over to one of the 'reply' icons or it stalls the whole video and stops any ability to type a comment. I have to go thru TWO menus now to get to my own playlists & the actual act of committing a song to a playlist ALSO stalls the video play. AND the character counter doesn't work, either!
I wanna go back in time - to the Duluth Curling Club - Everlys in Person, Tickets $1.50 in advance and $2.00 at the door!! This must have been in the 50's. Wonderful photos and posters! Thanks for this posting, 5 star fave.
@justmusicandme, I'd love to have seen them in person at any age, anywhere ... even the grocery store [always thought they were better than Elvis ... Chuck Berry said they were too.]
