In 2007 Spain won fairly, in fact, the refrees helped Greece!! That technical foul to Rudy is the prove.
Greece doesn't have half the quality of spanish team players. Does your team have players like Rudy, Navarro or Reyes? Of course no!
In 2009 and 2006 Spain won fairly, but claiming Greece was helped by referees in 2007, in order to balance the opposite side's claims (which are rational if you actually watch the video)? I don't think you can convince anyone.
I don't like excuses and whinning about referees decisions and stuff, but just remember who are the masters of excuses when they lose (e.g 1996 pao - barcelona) .

Papaloukas and Diamantidis have a slight advantage in their individual awards for playing in euroleague and 1 more euroleague tittle than Navarro (Papaloukas is already voted as one of the top 35 euroleague players of all times). Navarro is also in top level, especially in scoring, but if i wanted more versatility from a guard i would pick teo or diamantidis (5 times defensive palyer of euroleague).

There is no need to insult each other for a game so take it easy. Concerning the game, the refs gave the advantage to spain ( 28 free throws!!!) but we didnt lose because of that. We lost because of the incredible stats of spain. 27/28 free throws!!! and around 60% to everything else is just amazing.
Now concerning our teams. Spain and Greece are the 2 best teams in europe imo. The only thing we need to do is to respect each other and enjoy the games. It is stupid to curse each other :)
PS: The only thing i didnt like from spain was the theatrical scenes from 2 of your players in order to take some extra fouls. I dont think their reputation deserves that.

Spain played bad since the first preparatory game early in August. Just our defense was not the same anymore, there was no intensity and we played a relaxed zone most of the time, instead of the individual intense defense we used to a year ago.
Also we didn't move the ball well in ofense because some of our players keep the ball for themselves and shoot everything arriving to them.
We'll learn from this defeat to play as a team again.

As many have said, we spaniards underperformed in this tournament, problems with injuries and players out of shape. Also the stress of playing home having won the title in Japan were difficult for players. But even playing like shit we had the opportunity to win.

As many have said, we spaniards underperformed in this tournament, problems with injuries and players out of shape. Also the stress of playing home having won the title in Japan were difficult for players. But even playing like shit we had the opportunity to win.
Honestly, next year in the Olympics we are gonna humiliate everybody in our way to the gold. We'll have Ricky Rubio and Claver ready for join the big guys. And probably Raul Lopez will go too.
