@timberland1108 Sparco seats do serve a function. They reduce weight a bit, but most importantly, they keep you in place when your make a hard corner. Same with the harness...so that isn't really just for looks. It could be if you never drive your car very hard I suppose, but they aren't there just for looks.

First off, Coldnapalm's comment sums it up perfectly "Besides which any car can be RICE (race insipied cosmetic enhancements) if it has show bits without the go bits." Second, he showed stock cars because of the misconseption that all Japanese cars are rice. And lastly, the cavaliers were a bit ricey i'll agree.

Rice. i've seen mustangs that are riced out. It is more common with honda, but that doesn't mean its exclusive to japanese ricers. To the video maker! Some of those "ricers" have been kept clean. No body kits or anything. That means they aren't ricers. Rice=stickers, body kits, stupid wings.

It seems that most of the cars you would consider rice are those with body kits. I'll grant you that most look pretty awful, but does that mean that they can't put power down? If you're going to insult people about their "Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements" you should probably find out what their performance numbers are first.

i used to have a 89 camaro with a midly built 350 that would fly but now i have a 95 integra with a b18b jdm and to be honest i like the integra better...both cars fly but one got 10 MPG one gets 35 MPG it has nothing to do with American or jap cars i just like fast cars period

@jonthamo Think about that for a second...we get that much power out of modern V6 and I4 engine for a long while now. Having 8 cylinders produce that little power in the past decade is the ultimate all show and no go. Thank god the new mustangs have finally gotten a pair of decent engine in them.

geo metro gti with a kerb weight for 790kg, with a 1.6gti engine putting out 200 hp will do 100 on dirt faster then a v8 stang on slicks, but both looks stupid where as a rwd converted skyline with no mods other then ricey bits will still pull past a stang. Its a wonderful world we live in.

@timberland1108 Sparco seats do serve a function. They reduce weight a bit, but most importantly, they keep you in place when your make a hard corner. Same with the harness...so that isn't really just for looks. It could be if you never drive your car very hard I suppose, but they aren't there just for looks.
