  • I've made my layout and all that good stuff. But my content in my sidebar box and main content area just stretches as I keep writing.

For instance, I can type 1000 characters on one line and the page just stretches across. How do I lock the content area?

  • @rievley15 you need to set its width, use css in the right hand pane in dreamweaver or select the cell/div tag and set the width in the properties bar on the bottom.

  • @joshthewacko

    Nice tutorial!

Help me! I have set the width in order to stop my cell/div tag from stretching across and ruining my webpage, but i have not managed to do it succesfully, seriously it's driving me mad. Basically it works for the first line of text, but then after that it just goes out of the cell/div tag without stretching it, but not having the text on a new line. I've spent 7 hours trying to work this out, and now i think i may need a phsyciatrist.

    thanks.

  • do you have a spare spotify invite? i noticed it on your desktop :P

    thx

  • Great presentation. This is a very concise way of presenting the integration of Adobe Fireworks and Dreamweaver that many other videos have failed at. Good job!

  • @Millionofus ok so you mean you need a really basic tutorial, more indepth, different programs etc. Give me some suggestions and I will make a new video for you

  • Quick question, how do you flush the heard to the top? Although you didn't do this in the video, it's something that I'd like to do. I have some space between the header and the top that I'd like to get rid of.

  • @epics7 you have to set the padding I think, use css and if using dreamweaver, check in the pane on the right hand side

  • What hosting site do you use?

  • lol this is what you get tought in your ICT high school lessons

  • no actually this is too advanced for our school :) lol no I use css now and I will post a tutorial soon for it

  • Thanks that was really cool. I'm newb to web design so and i couldnt figure out how use those 2 programs effectively. Is that method usually how everyone does simple web pages or is that a little unorthodoxed?
