Where do you guys get your info from ? The first true SS el camino decoded by the VIN was produced in 1968 and there was only 5190 of them made. 68's also had a/c just as the '67's did and possibly earlier models. What really makes me laugh is all these 66 and 67 SS el camino so called clones or tributes. You can't clone something that never exsisted, can you ? The 66 and 67 caminos were offered with big blocks and big block hoods and 396 badging but were never badged as an SS.

There was 1968 SS El Camino's. However this is most likely a clone. It has AC ducts interior. The 68 SS models did not offer AC at all.

Oh thats great dude. Im currently restoring a hand-me-down '68 with a 327. Not nearly in as good a condition but im getting there peice by peice.
