  • Hello Rodney! i have watch 1 youtube clip wen he played crysis on hig and did only get 25-50 fps (he played whit SLI 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1GB. I have only 1 GTS 250 (same as him) and i get 30-60 FPS why?. Sholdn't his graphic cards preforme together

  • I'm planning on getting EVGA nForce SLI 780i motherboard and EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX. My question 3DGAMEMAN:

Must I have 2 or more of these cards or is it enough to just have 1? (Yes, for gaming, but not for anything new out there.)

  • I just thought i would answer this for you :)

the 9800GTX should be perfectly fine for most games now and older ones.

I would recommend getting two of them in sli if your gaming to play things like crysis and all the new games coming out.

List the type of games u are going to play and i can tell u if your 9800GTX can play them all fine.

    Good Luck

  • Well I should be ashamed to name this game but I love it!

City of Heroes and City of Villains, maybe WaW, that's Call of Duty. But mainly CoH and CoV. I will accept any other suggestions if I should upgrade to another card. Thanks for the reply and thanks in advance for the other one.

  • I personly think thta you should stick to nvidia because games like crysis and call of duty are made to run better on nvidia i think. I got two 9600GT's and i can run cod4 and cod5 on max and get 125fps on cod4 and around 60fps on cod5 waw with all explosions. On crysis i can have it all maxed to very high with res at 1440x900 on 19" and get 25 to 30fps on first mission. With other missions with more stuff going on i play it on high and it runs fine. I dont change the res from 1440x900. Thanks

  • The difference with games 'made' to run better on nvidia cards are very, very small (Rodney actually made a Q&A about it).

Also, 1440x900, while widescreen, isn't a very high resolution, and certainly not the most common. Go up to 1680x1050 and you fps would drop below 20, which isn't very nice playing in.

  • Tbh i dont really care I am only 15 and dont have the money at the moment to go buying a £160 monitor. I am just saving up for a q6600.

  • Man, you really need to go 3-way sli with the GeForce GTX 295

  • SLI certified means that it was tested to run well with SLI setup. Like a SLI power supply will have enough PCI express connectors, RAM is tested with the northbridge chipset.. and so on

  • Your very enthusiastic in comparison to some of your older videos. Guess getting rid of all that facial hair helped.

  • when you upload in HD how big are the files? they must take a while to upload!

  • I find Nvidia certified stuff is just gimmicky.

  • Hello Rodney

I really need help finding a good microphone, I've watched your video about gaming headsets and that still didn't give me what I was looking for

I make videos on youtube using my webcam and want a microphone that is discrete yet very good, I'm trying to avoid the very large bulky headsets that have a huge microphone boom hanging on the end, because I want something to look nicer

    Any recommendations?

  • great that you mentioned that SLI zone show what graphik cards you need XD

  • All you need is a Motherboard which can hold two video cards, and a powersupply which has cables to support both of them with a wattage of 750+.

well thats what i think since SLI ready and stuff is just all marketing.

  • thats what i think, all you need is the mobo, psu and cables, all those products with those stickers saying sli ready, are just gimmicks to try to sell them for more than their worth.

  • Marketing ,

For power supplies just use a power calculator ,

A mobo that has 2 PciE x16 slots

    And stuff like so.

  • you gotta get the right amps too!...

I recommend a Corsair PSU... they have a calculator for choosing their PSU's aswell..

  • Today I'm looking at Australian pedophile Geoffrey Leonard, who is NOT a sex offender, because he was convicted before the sex offenders register was set up. The legislation was not made retrospective.

  • SLI certified products is just for marketing purposes.

  • IMO SLI certified is pure marketing, if you want good parts just do your own research

  • does anyone else think rodney would be a really good weather man?

  • YES YES YES

  • Hahah, yeah. He'd be great. :)

  • The HD is looking good.

  • what's the difference between SLI certified products and products that would be able to support SLI, or NVIDIA chipsets in general? because some of the PSUs I've seen are not SLI certified yet they can power 3 GTX280's in SLI

  • I have heard of that slizone website before, it is supposed to be pretty good.

  • lol nice, but why everytime i watch your vids, the ad is always "gay-PARSHIP"? lol

  • I get Google chrome when I watch videos in general... Maybe you should watch what you look up on your computer karma, and your cookies may catch up. lol

  • roflmao CSSpla4er is a limp-wrist

  • SLI certified means that it was tested to run well with SLI setup. Like a SLI power supply will have enough PCI express connectors, RAM is tested with the northbridge chipset.. and so on

  • The RAM also comes with a special feature that allows you to automatically OC to a certain level within the warranty, and guaranteed stable.

  • i call bullshit.

    a SLI power supply can mean either 2 6600 gt's or 3 GTX280s.

my ocz ram was sli enabled but guess what with my 790i ultra mobo, it had so many stability problems.

    just a marketing scam.

  • just a marketing scam, agreed.

hardware is hardware, it must be compliant to certain standards or else it's useless for 99.99 percent of people.

  • as good as always, good job.

  • Again nice one. That site will come in handy!

  • :O o snap

  • great one

  • Good one again! Rodney
