My favorite Zelda game...Majora's Mask. I love it cuz it's darker than most Zelda games, but not so dark that it's given a T rating like Twilight Princess, which is also a good game.
I loved this tv commercial when i was a kid and i always wanted to play those games. The graphic of this commercial is promising to current zelda games
The Oracle series are some of my favorite video games of all time. I remember this commercial on TV, and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to get those games. Both the commercial and the games are excellent. That said, though, this is probably one of the most misleading commercials I've ever seen, lol. Absolutely nothing in this commercial actually happens in the games. A shame, really.
@ratchet1215 Nintendo has announced that they want to release a new Zelda game for the 3DS before making anymore remakes. Although Miamoto himself did say that a revamped A Link To The Past might have a good 3D rendition (Not knowing whether that means still 2D overhead view gameplay or not). I know MM was unbelievably awesome, but Skyward Sword is the best game in the franchise, best game ever made in my opinion.
Nice seeing you as a Zelda fan though, still remember that MM LP you had going.
@OgnarPliskin I know the graphics wouldn't be an issue, but in order to run Majora's Mask and make all the various schedules and events in Termina happen in real time, the N64 required the Expansion Pak. They might be able to shortcut such a thing on the 3DS or just run it outright, I don't know. From what they did with OoT3D it does seem like the system would be able to handle such a thing.
I really wish they'd remake these games, and complete the trilogy with Secrets. These games were amazing, I have never seen 2 games that had such awesome interaction with each other, and you didn't even need the game link cable or a second gameboy.
I always want to try them both. I love Link's Awakening on the Gameboy so I'll enjoy these games. I hope that this will be on the virtual Console soon!
Fun Fact: It was suppose to be three Oracles games. But the third one is axed in favor for the two games.
@supermancatcool They have two seperate stories that are linked together through a password system. You get too choose which game happened first, and thus get to choose how the overall storyline plays out. They're two amazing and well done games (as well as being incredibly difficult).
I loved both of these games. I had seasons and my homie had ages back in elementary. We both had our gameboys and the link cable to be able to trade rings and to be able to fight twinrova (i think that was her name?) and ganon... gahhh! i need to hit up the gamerdoc by my pad and get myself another copy of these games!!!!!
I soo remember this ad, sure i was like four or something but Ive just always remembered it. I searched this ad up a while ago and found out it was zelda (didnt remember the game but i did the "an adventure to big for one game) and its sorta weird that when id completly forgot about this zelda was still my fave game. Its lile this advert stuck in my head so i was compelled to the game. Ahh memories.
They need to make another 2 part type zelda game like this again. Both come out at same time and both go hand and hand with each other. Would be awwwwesome.
@Numberplay it all depends on what you prefer the best, i know for sure that ages has more puzzles in it, but there both really good and my favorite zelda game of all time would have to be Seasons , but hey, it doesnt matter in what order you play them what matters is that after you pass them both you get the REAL ending... but only after you pass them both
I feel so sad for not buying this game 9 years ago. YEAHHH, I still remember seeing this commercial a couple of times while making homeworks, but I didn´t had the idea it was of an awesome game, what a shame!!! Can someone tell me where could I find it, yes, I know its difficult, considering it came out in 2001, but maybe the attemp will worth.
If you really believe that, then you have no idea how much time, effort and money goes into making video games. =) Unless of course you're talking graphics-wise, in which the Oracle series used the same graphics engine as Link's Awakening. Still, it's good to note that these games were originally going to be three games, one for each piece of the Triforce. They scratched that idea partway into development though and dropped it to two titles.
@TheZeldaDungeon - Haha, don't get me wrong...that was actually just a joke...I'm a game production student, so I'm aware of all the work that is put into even the smallest games...haha...I actually specifically meant the two Links...I didn't know that it was supposed to be three games, however...Thank you for that info!...that is good to know...:)...
@TheZeldaDungeon Actually, you're the one who doesn't know how much time effort and money goes into making video games from that time era. Most games were made in the span of a couple of months by less than a dozen people. Did you know mortal kombat was created by FOUR guys in just a few months? Final Fantasy IV was made by only 12 people in something like 6 months.
Nowadays, sure, it's a multi-million dollar investment and takes hundreds of developers and 3-4 years to make a game now.
@TheZeldaDungeon Actually, they were originally going to be six games (two of which were remakes). Then, they decided to scrap the remakes and one of the originals for the "Mystical Seed" games. After they realized how difficult it would be to incorporate the password system for this, they decided on the Oracle games.
@TheZeldaDungeon I didn't know that.....that seems really interesting...I mean it was cool enough to get the real ending/boos fight only by playing both games but if it was split into three games? wow..lastly the ebay/amazon prices for these games (even just bare cart) is just crazy high...just saying.lol
@WillMcCKill Well, it would look better, but that's about it, which is kind of a bad reason to remake anything. The games were amazing to begin with after all.
Besides, at least to me there are something cool about those gameboy-sprites that wouldn't transfer to the 3D remakes.
I dunno why you'd get thumbed down for wanting them though. It's just that there's no need for remaking them, no errors in translations or horrible glitches or anything.
I remember first seeing this commercial on TV in home room in 8th grade... I nearly shat myself with joy that another Zelda was coming out. I still have my Seasons cartridge.
At least this doesn't star a geazer and a nerd that break out into a rap with singing as monotone a Pitbull
