I gotta say, pronunciation is a little scattered...I'm hearing everything from gow-dee-tee to the gow-dee-tay to gow-day-tay...the last of which is the closest to the actual pronunciation. That being said, this is the best I've been able to find on YouTube. I'm having flashbacks to chamber choir :D
@MrYoda926 I don't know what you're talking about. As someone with [e:] in his native language, I can only commend the singers for their consistent and correct pronunciation of this vowel. I assume the fact that it sounds brighter than the [ɛ:] that English speakers might substitute in order to avoid the offglide of [ej] might make it sound more like [i:] in your ears.
King's Singers. And that's all I have to say about that.

It's too bad the King's Singers don't sing this anymore. Or do they? Anyone have recent recordings of this song?

@Alfred0047 they do! I heard them sing it in their concert in Singapore!

Lively, beautifully arranged and the horns just bump it up! I can visually Henry VIII court listening to this version.

I love the song but this arrangement makes them sound as though they're in a terrible hurry!
