Except, you know, the twist was that was bullsh*t in Season 5 and John is actually dead, thus this twist has more impact than ever now because the writers had the balls to kill off one of the most awesome characters on the show.

I love when Jack gets startled by Ben initially at 1.51. A little piece of brilliant acting by Matthew Fox. The way he stumbles back rings so true.

Also love Ben's quip about DarkJack - "yes I hear you've been flying on passenger planes - hoping that you'd crash." Just the way he says "crash" is so deliciously devillish.

I also love Jack's "how??" at 4.08. So much pain and anguish etched on his face. I also love his little stumble at 4.27....MF plays the role so damn well.

It is what it is.

Island has mystery properties (possibly alive?), dharma people wanted to find our what they were. Ben killed darma people and lived there doing research etc util jack and flight 815 came and screwed everything up.

the story of lost is very simple, they are in a world between dead en alive, they have to complete a task to can go back to the real world, so this world is just a fake copy of the real world, its one between live an dead. Remember last scene with michael, when jacks dad said, you can go home: Michael complete his task to save the people from te boot by freezing the bomb. With you can go home he means, you can return to real live, so hes not dead, he lives but not between two worlds anymore

Don't worry about it... he's not dead. I thought more people would have caught on to the names Lost gives people, which relate to philosophers. (John Locke, David Hume, Jean Jacques Rosseau) Jeremy Bentham was a philosopher who knew and wrote a lot about Auto Icon... in other words Taxidermy. My theory is that either Ben or Locke (Or both) faked Locke's death (much like Anthony Cooper) to con Jack into coming back.

I was thinking just the same! Actually I only watched this video cus I wanted a reminder as to whether Jack mentioned Desmond in his list of people that need to come back (Sayid gone, Hurley crazy etc etc).

My theory is that after the O6 left the Island, Charles Whidmore managed to find it, and created havok, and when John left to find Jack etc he was murdered by one of Whidmore's people to stop the O6 coming back and 'fixing things' on the island.

I think Ben is just using the O6, so he can get back to the island himself. And plus, it is Ben. He always has a plan, and perhaps, his plan was to have the O6 leave the island, so he can use them, since he knows the island itself or Jacob needs them and Ben is just using them as ransom to get back.

I think that Locke is "dead" in this clip, but when they return to the island he will come back to life again. Remember that he had to use a wheelchair before they crashed on the island, but after the crash he could walk normally. So I think the island will make him come back to life again, but that's just my theory.
