  • that hair

  • Good bye to romance did ozzy get that from this song ha ha. love it. such a great tune.

  • The thing I love about old music from the 50s 60s is it was proper music, the artist's had to sing because the technology wasn't up to much then, not like now where even the crappiest singers could sound good. The Everly's now these guys could sing and with pure class too, 2 voices and 2 guitars that's all it is, I wish we had this level of talent these days, it's to much glits and glamour now.

  • I really wish they made music like this now!!!! Im only 14 and honestly, I could listen to this till the day i die!!!!!!!!!(:

  • @1Becca2Loves3You4 Well, I've got good news for you. I feel the exact same way (I'm 15). I have a band, and we're called The Flowers, and we only play awesome old stuff like this. Originals, too! All in the style of real music like this. I will be posting some stuff soon, please check it out. And noo, I am not doing this to advertise my band. I just saw your comment and thought you might like to hear us. :)

  • @EmilyARTS Hey, I don't mean or anything I'm jw, Why did y'all pick "The Flowers" as y'all band name? O.o

  • @paleboy1231 Um hey, thanks for asking. We chose it because it had a unique, old-fashioned feel to it and sort of a hippie-ish inspiration. Peace

  • @EmilyARTS Well, that is pretty cool. I'm a fan of this music such as this song and other classics country and I play acoustic, fiddle, and I like to sing and I'm working on learning these songs. Hope to meet y'all maybe if we both comes famous.

  • @paleboy1231 Awesome! Good luck in your own musical ambitions.

  • @EmilyARTS As well to you too.

  • No auto Tune there! Sheer golden oldie!

  • at the very last moment it looks like Don on the right scowls and Phil for really bothering to play the drawn out ending

  • im 22yrs old and this to me is real music from real instruments being played by real talent! what happened to music like this? oh yeah it was called mainstream with there electronic interference.if you can sing then sing and if you cant then don't try and make it better with computers!

  • @nathanx1275

Yeah, right on! I miss the harmonizing of music from long ago. Bye bye, harmony. :-(

  • They're great, 'cause They really sing.... I love The Everlys

  • gosh good looking boys O:

  • kentucky boys in the house!!!

  • Written by the writers of "ROCKY TOP." The Bryants.

Thanks for the mem'ries and the post.

  • I'm 46 and kids way back when I was a kid thought I was weird for liking country, bluegrass and music like this too.

  • It warms my grandfatherly heart to see young folks rediscovering these things.

There is much that has happened in music, in the past fifty years, that is no gift at all to the men and women you shall someday become. Dig deep for the blessings that lie in songs like these -- “Bim Bom Bay”, “Kisses Sweeter than Wine”. Then woo, and marry, and bring forth children: World without end.

  • @metapenguin1 Awww this music should be dear to everybody's heart: it's the '70s and the '80s we should pick and choose from since it's really diverse.

  • im 14 and this is the music i like

  • amazinggg

  • I would say no one has disliked this because the NEW generation has no clue it is here and they wouldnt know good music if it slapped them on the arse....no offense kiddos honestly.

  • @wardc70 true true i'm only 13 and all the kids in my class think i'm weird just cuz i like GOOD music frm back in the day

  • There a recorded version of this?

  • of course no one has 'disliked' this <3

  • @juststrut01 then their is always one little dumbass that wants to be a rebel >.< his/her love must of said bye bye to them XD

  • @juststrut01 ...and then some fag comes around and dislikes it -.-

  • I miss harmonies being a part of "normal" music...now, the only place you'll find them is in choral and jazz ensembles. Most people nowadays don't even know what a harmony is....what a shame.

  • @Cheezluvr12 Most people these days don't know what real music is!!!

  • @spikeman14 Amen to that!

  • @Cheezluvr12 they choose dat gay auto-tune -_- or whatever its called haha

  • Re: the orchestra at the end of this video.... this is typical of 50s TV shows but it's not on the original recordings produced by Chet Atkins.

  • Saw these guys in '99 at Tennessee Theatre here in Knoxville.I discovered that recording cannot pick up nuances. In person extra nuances(music)appear due to their being together for so long.Much thicker sound(even with new recording technology)in person. As for the orchestra on the end. That was Chet A.. and Owen Bradley. They felt they could reach a wider more sophisticated audience recording with choirs and orchestras. That was Waylon and Willies big gripe with Chet.

  • I love this recording, except for the jarring orchestral ending! Sounds weird and out of place.

  • now that's TALENT!!!!
