The tale tale differences between the 68 and 69 are the taillights, round for 68, these are 69 and 70, side marker lights, round for 68, rectangular for 69 and 70, and in 70 they had a wrap around chrome front bumper, known as a sharksmouth, if you already know this then happy day, its for the younger generation fyi.
How come it doesn't have the chrome splitter in the front grill? (I'm not bagging you out, this is a serious question lol) My dream car, I could sleep peacefully to the sound of that exhaust.
That's a sexy ass charger, but it's not as mean as I'd expected. What does it have in it, a 318 2 barrel? If it had a 383magnum w/ a carter 4 barrel, a 426 hemi, or a 440, it would eat those tires up like your driving on ice. I'm still extremely envious of you though. SEXY car!
I've always found the 68' Grille a lot more sinister because of the all black grille as opposed to the 69' with a sharp split, but that's my opinion. I know the 69' grille was meant to cut drag on the front, but still I love the 68' way more.
@keithmbergeron Why the hell would you say something as silly as that? Twin turbo's on a Dodge? A classic one at that? Give your head a shake, go read up on real classic muscle cars and educate yourself before you say such silly things. If anything, you ad a supercharger....turbo's are for girly cars that can't do it naturally aspirated.
@arniebarb123 Yes but good ole American muscle does it with style. I personally prefer the clatter of solid lifters and the deep resonance of a 440 big block over a hopped up lawnmower.
@dwiggs77 I agree with you, the guy is jerking the wheel side to side trying make it appear as if the car is "getting loose". That car doesn't have enough ass too get loose without jerking the steering wheel.
We have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 (1%) API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs/Injection and tank clean and rustfree!
And to think i sold a 69 dodge charger last summer for 600 dollars and give the guy 100 dollars out of it for saling it for me : ( it was complete but had sit for years..... 0-well
in 1975 I almost got my mom to buy one of those for my first car. The asking price? $995. It needed a new windshield. And had a black vinyl top!! I'm glad she didn't buy it for me because I believe I would have killed myself in it. As a 16 y.o. I didn't have any concept of just how much horse power that car had..
My car is more rare and a true classic and its the only 1970´s musclecar made by FIAT in Italy with aid of Ferrari
Wanna see a car sounding 1000x nicer and going 10x better than most american muscles...?
Please go to the youtube account of:

Thats a Fiat 130 3200 Super Sports Coupé V6 with
Ferrari engine!!! Fiat luxury racer 130 3200 V6 Pininfarina rules 4ever!!! Fiat 130 V6 2+2 has nicest design too! Especially the 130 is so rare and exclusive...you will never see one. :) :)
a fiat? dude stfu u european jackoff. American Muscle owns ass! Owns ur little fiats ass. This is a true classic muscle car. that Chargers' engine is probably bigger than ur little tin caned 70s Fiat " Faggot ". And this type of charger is known to have an engine able to produce enough horsepower to light a small town.
Go play with your little turbocharged hollow nut european classics. it has no place being with american muscle. Sry to burst ur bubble bro.
Cody is just one of those ppl who have no clue about real American muscle, not his fault, detroit went in the toilet in the early 70's, and cody watches tv so he thinks these plastic excuses for tonka toys, and turbo chargers to boost the hamster power are the real thing. I got 3 Goats, a 68 an 2 69's an I eat plastic crap all day long.
@gto428ramair hondas, and acuras maybe but supras and skylines arent plastic there japanese muscle, they can make 1500 hp with stock internals can ur car do that answer is yes...will u have to do get a tranny that can handle the power u dont with a supra its one of the most over built motors in the world dont get me wrong i love classic muscle cars im mopar all the way but dont be dissin imports if u really dont kno what there capable of doin...u can make anything fast remember that
@arniebarb123 Japanese muscle...LOL. That's funny. Yes they are plastic and polishing a turd still gives you a turd. I don't care how fast someone makes one, it's still an ugly plastic turd that no one but ricers who fondle themselves to the fast and the furious care about.
Also supras are nothing buy dyno queens. You know the difference between a 300hp supra and a 1000hp supra? They have the same ET. rofl
@gto428ramair Yes, I am sure you do. Remember, NOTHING fries Japanese rice like American Iron! By the way, '68 Charger is my dream. '70 GTO is my second dream
@gto428ramair nice i got 1 goat a 69 mustang boss and a duster but i don't know the year on the duster i just got it yesterday im going to do a complete restoration and i smoke my brothers tonka truck all the time lmao he has a 91 Honda lol and he thinks cause he has a turbo and all that shit he can beat me but he hasn't yet
Wow Cody, your 2001 Stratus with a curb weight of 3200lbs and 200hp is gonna beat a '69 Charger with a Curb weight of 3600lbs and 375-425hp? Even if you had a Turbo pushing 5-8 lbs. of boost you would still only see tail lights.
Beautiful car man. I thought the 69 had the split grill, but then again, I'm not really a charger man... I love how someone in the car is just laughing, cause it's so damn awesome.
Nice Charger man. the 69 was the best of all of them. Im trying to get my 69 charger restored here in ireland but all of the mechanics are scared of the power it puts out.
he right its a 69 charger you can tell by the tail lights but the 68 front end, well no comment on the front end its well its not what i would do, but its not my car, and it does have some balls, love 4 speed cars, ive got a 70 rt charger 727
I like how it stoops down like that nice work man!
