  • needed a wash anyway

  • Surely you meant "Voyager almost hit by fairly large wave at Dawlish"

  • crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy fucking ppl putting a rail line that close....

  • Didnt even hit it!

  • Voyagers - headache inducing thrumming throughout the whole journey, almost mathematically impossible misalignment of seats to windows and still, long after the problem was supposed to be fixed, vague toilet smells, particularly after heavy braking.

  • @karu1402....no it wasnt...wot video are u watching...coz this one is crap.

  • wot a f*kn dum one..wave didnt even hit the train..peeps that post these types of shit should be shot...idiot.

  • @Noniepop LOL get a grip... it was near enough.

  • @Noniepop well its not the video itself, its the very bad misleading title - common practice now on YouTube to get more hits :(

  • If I do travel to that part of England, I would be well aware of it. Great shot. It reminds me of a time at a theme park when I was on board one of the bumper boats and of course I got wet but enjoyed it.

  • Junk.

  • No it wasn't.......

    1. It wasn't hit

    2. It certainly wasn't giant

  • have to hit it just to see if it can pussh it in to tilling moad

  • i remember going there when i was a kid and watching the 125's going by! :D great video!

  • That voyager doesn't need to be washed by us, Nature helped us.

  • well, not really. Salt water is extremely corrosive, and would require being washed off, ideally very soon after the incident. Especially, given the comparatively poor build quality and design of the voyagers.

  • I love the Voyagers. I was on 220005 on a Penzance - Aberdeen working the other week visiting my friend and we got battered. I was on the window side as well!! We kept going. And a London Paddington - Penzance FGW HST had to terminate because a wave hit it and it broke down.

  • That is a rare one, I am surprised they let the voyager go along the sea wall, usual practice is to terminate at Exeter in stormy conditions.

  • @blade5859 it was going from Penzance to Aberdeen so it should have terminated at Plymouth

  • Yeah! I mean its pretty dangerous considering a big enough wave could hit the train and derail it! :P

  • Even nature doesnt like Voyagers !

  • i bet a fgw hst would keep going in a wave 2 times the size!

  • im surprised it didnt break down too, the purr of the qsk19 is like a laugh and haha f**k you waves :P awesome video 5*

  • Lovely video there

  • Cheers I was suprised how well it turned out.

  • im surprised that voyager didn't break down

  • Yes they don't like to get wet, usually they stop at Exeter until the end of high tide in stormy weather.

  • One actually did, the computer shut all the engines off so they had to reprogram it to stop that happening.

  • I think several did. Virgin Crosscountry's response was, trains shouldnt be running in those conditions. Everyone's elses response to was, why not, no other trains have ever been crippled be waves. They shouldn't have built crap for trains.
