what is better, two plates, - and positive, or like 8 plates, consuming the same amount of power but are smaller yet total equal surface area? or will they produce roughly the same output.
Very impressive design and output! I am building a system to test in a 1999 Dodge Dakota with a 318 cid I have seen a lot of ideas and this is so simple and produces excellent gas results!
You went through all the trouble to screw that masterpiece together, but you didn't put it in the water? You know everyone watching this video is supporting your efforts, why let us down? I was disappointed. Did you run out of Bandwidth? You surely didn't run out of metal, plastic spacers and screws. Why did the video end short?
This system is going to Boil the water FAST trust me i done a 10 plate like that and got 15 min and boiled the water at 20 amps. You need a lot of neutral plates now i run 1 on each end Pos and 2 center plates Neg and the rest Neutral And i run it for 3-4 hrs at a time at a max 140f with 27 amps.
great design, since you have no neutrals you should consider for ur unit a water cooled system with a mini transmission cooler infront of your card and a pump inside somewhere in the housing, this should circulate your water from bottom to reenter on the top, great job!
I am wondering something though. It looks like only ONE set of plates is attached to the rods..What am I missing? How are the OTHER offset plates held together? What are you using for spacers between the two sets of plates and how far apart are they?
every other plate has a positive rod going through them and every other plate has a negative rod. In between every plate is a is a small plate of urethane. Evey plate has weedwacker string going through to hold all the plates in place during assembly
you should make the plates no more than 3 mm apart. You should lay the device on its side
in a container as you trap too much gas in the upright position. Use higher voltage but less amperage for better results without heating the water too much.
try adding potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide as electrolites.
The more I think about it, the more I like your setup. It reminds me of an old fashioned "variable capacitor" in the way it is constructed.
I have visions of of a knob that could be used to move one set of plates in/out to control the volume of production by changing the contact area. Very interesting approach. I like it.
I think if I had some spare SS laying around I would be trying to make one similar. hmmm, maybe my old broken gas grill ....
In a brute force cell, ~2.2v between plates with enough electrolyte to increase current flow may not yield the highest overall output but it WILL yield the highest efficiency. >3v between plates will boil quickly. Not good.
This optimum voltage, however, applies ONLY to brute force cells. It does not apply to resonant tuned cells, an area of further experimentation for me, JUST AS SOON AS I CAN HEAT MY GARAGE OR CONVERT MY SHED INTO A FULL TIME LAB! >:(
I think you will find that your design will work very well with as little as 3 volts. But it will be a hog for amps. It appears to be arranged as +-+-+-+ which of course works fine. But when you exceed the minimum 1.5 volts required for electrolysis, additional voltage will create much heat. Try your cell at 5 volts or less with a lot of AMPS available and see.
Yep the SOD is two triangles one up one down not alternated squares. The nice thing is the octagon will slip into a PVC pipe and support itself pretty much along the pipe sides.
i am sorry to tell you this way but if you have only one lung
there is a cool thing on the market euhm its called hydrogen and oxigen
and i think the last one could be interesting to you and no i don't want to make fun with you but stil
you seem to know things about hho so simply get it split and use the oxigen for yourself check the separator for hho plans

Idiot that is not the 'Star of David'. Stop using religious antics to fuel your pathetic garage based 'monkey see monkey do' experiments.

If you have plastic squares in between the plates, wouldn't that interfere with the electrolysis process?

good luck and also where did you get the plates?

I don't mean to sound like a butthead but whats hydroxide? don't you mean hydrogen?
ZebbMassiv 3 years ago
Hydrogen is an atom, while hydroxide are two chemical compound. to get the exact meaning look it up in the dictionary
deemortiz 3 years ago
Hydroxide is an electrolyte additive that makes the water more conductive and produces more hydrogen.
