not that the sewage system is sane, it isn't at all, should be compost toilets. i mean using any existing properly accessible (ie no digging etc required) tunnels etc is the only sane way to route cables and pipes around.
these exist / are possible, but the thing is - $100 for the materials?! really. it costs way more than that for just the wall socket set-up you'd plug your devices into. and that's without installing it into the walls (which is retarded anyway, just like any other kind of cabling etc buried under pavements & roads and inside walls...fibre / cable in sewers and accessible tunnels is the only sane version of that).
