@BattletoDeath I managed to get to R2 using only rental pokemon on both PS1 and 2, but after a while it gets impossibly hard and then the computer cheats. I'll miss 5 thunder in a row but they will never miss a horn drill x_x

Man, it was so much cooler when the 3d pokemon games had the pokemon cries sound like what you'd imagine if they were real. (After hearing their cries in the 2d games, that is.)

Nowadays, they took the lazy route and just used the pokemon cries straight from the 2d/handheld games.

I remember i got all the way to lance and i was about to beat his dragonite with my fearow. both pokemon would go down with one hit and i attacked first. i was so happy because i was going to finally beat lance after so many tries, but the damn flying attack missed and dragonite finished me off :( i never beat him

How is this lapras "haxxy"? Lapras was always able to learn thunderbolt. In fact, by TM, thunderbolt can be taught to some conflicting pokemon. Rhydon is another example of a conflicting type learning thunderbolt.
