2002-2007 were the years in which everything related to the media had to be "Gangsta" in order for it to become popular. This is why Boost Mobile made all of their commercials like this. This commercial was made around 2004, when Atlanta literally had a grip over the rap industry, so making a commercial like this would bring hella business to boost.

I bet it was a pretty successful advertising campaign even though I can hardly even tell what the commercial is for. Even the name is as "gangster" as possible. Boost Mobile. Sounds a lot more "gangster" than Verizon Wireless or US Cellular.
