These things can happen in war time. I served military for 6 years and i heard lots of memories of other people who engaged combat. Turks are not the only ones who kills like wolves, it's not about nationality and humanity, it's all about disgustingness of war.

Due to lack of amphibious ships, Turkey couldn't make the operation. But from 1968 to 1974 Turkey began to produce their own weapons, ships etc. to begin Cyprus Operation. When it is finished Turkey unleashed their armies to Cyprus.
The reasons were clear,
-The unfriendly attitude of EOKA to Turkish Cypri.
- Some attacks from terrorist to Turkish Cypriots which is secretly supported by Cyprus government.
These reasons was public reasons to begin military operation. The main reasons were:
-Greece has most of the islands on Aegean and Turkey can't make profit from Agean waters. Turkey's south sea was the only way to begin trade with other countries by sea transport. Turkey needed to secure their southern waters. So the operation began. %30 human and %70 economic reasons.

Due to lack of amphibious ships, Turkey couldn't make the operation. But from 1968 to 1974 Turkey began to produce their own weapons, ships etc. to begin Cyprus Operation. When it is finished Turkey unleashed their armies to Cyprus.
The reasons were clear,
-The unfriendly attitude of EOKA to Turkish Cypri.
