I'm a huge fan of SCI-FI and Adventure movies. Back To the Future is pure classic - interesting storyline, great acting and visual effects. Michael J.Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover did a great job. I miss the 80's and its sci-fi/adventure films - Back to the Future , Aliens, Empire Strikes Back, RoboCop, Mad Max 2 & 3, Ghostbusters, Rambo trilogy, Batman, DeepStarSix, Romancing the Stone, low budget films Sheena, Masters of the Universe, Elvira Mistress of the Dark etc
For anyone that didn't know a fun fact: The "Time machine" was originally going to be a Refrigerator! A DeLorean is MUCH cooler though. SO going to buy one some day.
@Somone77 And a nuclear blast on a testing site was going to generate the force to send the refrigerator BACK TO THE FUTURE. AND some have suggested this cut scene was the inspiration for the "nuke the fridge" scene in Indiana Jones 4! Given Spielberg's involvement with both films, it probably had something to do with it!
This was the very first BTTF trailer ever shown. You can see how the title is all in red, before they changed it later. Also, the road shown here, is the same road they used in the Knight Rider intro. This was first shown winter 1984-early 1985.
Trivia: In the original script for BACK TO THE FUTURE doc was called "Professor Brown", had a monkey named shemp instead of a dog, and the time machine was a laser beam located in an abandoned movie theater powered by coca-cola.
Oh yeah, excuse my mistake. I think Zemekis changed it to a Delorean because he was afraid that kids would (after seeing the movie) would climb in refridgerators and get stuck inside.
Not the original. In the past, the professor/doc rebuilt the time machine for marty to travel in. Problem was, they needed a nuclear blast to fuel it, so they hid the machine and marty inside a refridgerator that was secretly placed onto a test sight, so the blast sent Marty back home, to a more futuristic future, with flying cars.
Without a doubt, one of the best movies of all time. Still my personal favorite eleven years running. I first watched this movie back in 1997 on The USA network, back when it was cool.
Great movie. This is one of the first films I can remember seeing and though I'm only thirteen
Back to the Future is still one of my favorite movies. It doesn't rely on the special effects to push the story and it is just purely the entertainment. Movies today kind of overdo it by putting too much computer effects like Transformers. Movies are more about money now then just giving the audience a good time.
wow i love marty mcfly's shoes. white shoes with a red nike logo.i dont really care about the awesome shoes in bttf part 2 .I like these 1985 shoes.anyone know where i can get em?
Agreed, Nike's today are way to flashy. They put all this weird stuff on it that shouldn't be there. Just a simple white shoe with a red Nike logo on it is fine.
This movie kicks ass! Don't analyze it to death people! Just enjoy it. I want a Delorean with either a turbo engine or a 197 hp Stage 2 engine from DMC of Houston.
that makes alot of sense, but, on the other hand, i WOULD remember a guy that hooked me up with my wife/husband! wouldnt u? thats the part i dont get.
they probably remember him....But it's impossible for us to think that's their futur son i think....maybe the only thing they can remember, that's the guy from 1955 looks like their son.....
I am sorry, my friend, but movies nowadays must be scientifically accurate to fulfill the intellectual needs of the scientific community. I have just recently found the wormhole theory, according to my recent calculations, obsolete. Only your atoms will go to a "baby universe", if you will, all of it's own, self contained and so forth.
This is continued form my last post, under this one,: This statemant is based on hard science and mathematics on works of Eintein's Theory Of Relativity, the Quantum Mechnaics Theory, and Stephen Hakwing's work in his science classic "A Brief History Of Time". Farewell my fellow peers.
(this is continued from my last post under this one) As i was saying, When the black hole is activated you must get "sucked", if you will, into it wiht your spacecraft. You will first pass the event horizon and go into another opening in The Blackhole and into the "parralel universe", if you will, of another space and time. However this is very difficult. You can't just easily walk through time like thta in some overrated, if you will, car. Lets get our fantasy straight here, poeple.
Feh, pure nonsense, folks. The only way to actually "time travel" is by "The Wormhole Theory". You must squeeze an object into a critical radius equal to the object's mass multiplied by twice the constant of gravity and devided by the speed of light, 138,810, squared to "2GM/c2" and so forth, thus creating a Black Hole. You must then construct a transpotational craft able to withstand the speed of light and the vacuum of outer space. When the blackhole is activated
if they do, they gotta get a young "no name" actor to play the role.
Im sure the movie will turn out to be really cool, especially with all the effects and CG improvements sicne 1989....but it wont be like the original of course
I miss the "fun" that many films used to have in the 80's
