  • I remember going to work at nine at night and hoping to get off at eleven a.m. worked a lot of hard and crazy hours, loved to hate it sometimes, i will never forget that project or a lot of my friends i've lost contact with over the years, a.k.a. KID

  • @mike18620 I was with Hardaway Concrete

I had the mixer with the peace sign on the mud flap.

  • Thanks for the hard work. Drive over the Lake Murray dam frequently, the backup looks awesome. Watched you guys from start to finish.

  • I am glad that you appreciate the long hours many worked there 24 hours a day. my shift was from 4pm until 4 am. I got used to sleeping in the daytime after a while

  • impressive - can't even begin to imagine the scale of such a project -- I toured the dam at Lake Powell - they are interesting structures -- this is probably a unique video because I bet few people capture the process like you did

  • the blonde girl is Amy

    she was my supervisor

that truck with peace sign was my truck.

she was an old clunker and I named her fluffy

  • These are some great jobs for Americans! At least they can't be sent over seas to be built. New roads and more infrastructure like this could put Americans back to work. Screw those Chinese and screw the U.S. Corporate Empire that's sending all of YOUR jobs to China! :>})

  • On 2-22-08, I was let go from my job after 16 yrs. & 4 mos., so now I am unemployed. I am a 45 yr. old white male, Saluda County resident, Navy veteran, & member of our American Legion post. I will be a hard worker wherever I am hired. I don't believe in sitting on my rear collecting a check. If anyone can assist me in my quest for a new job, I would be greatful. Either reply or call 864-554-0517 between 8 a.m. & 10:00 p.m. if you know of anyone hiring or any prospects. Thanks. mkl62

  • thank you for your positive comments.

concrete is one of the most versatile, important and recyclable materials that man has created.

  • Thanks for your response to my blog. Hopefully, things will turn for me.

  • That's a perfect powerful soundtrack for a power-project. Amazing technological advancements that we can fine-tune to make sure it's in tune with the nature around us for a sustainable and affluent future. :^)
