Quick Fact: I currently own three Rodimus Prime Energon molds, all the same color, two of which i have no idea where they came from, and two are headless, and all are without heels. on the plus side they are the only transformers whose guns i have been able to keep track of. Thats quite sad really. Darn.

I completely agree with you on how this set feels a bit off. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the set(and I arrogantly get happy seeing the box art and profile cards I colored in these videos; I'm so full of myself.); the molds were good choices- but I can't help feeling the Thunderclash/Landshark opinion you have is SPOT ON, and Kup would have made more sense using the E-Rodimus mold(truuuckkk).

Interesting to see Thunderclash rehashed! I always rather liked thw whole Predators and Turbo Masters schtick. Not 100% sold on the mould; it is quite characterful for Thunderclash, but something about it just doesn't do it for me. 5*

For an exclusive, Thunderclash looks kinda 'cheap' (reminds me of a knock off Chinese toy). The colors are ugh... Flak and Landshark are the strongest of the group by far.

Gotta agree though, all together they just don't make sense.

Seems quite a shame from what I have seen so far. Sometimes I get the impression that repaints are just a lazy excuse for not putting a mold to rest. Sometimes they work. But on the whole I find them a waste of time.

I agree with your review of the elite guard the 2 coolest molds have no character and the two best characters are on 2 bad molds. This Botcon Set was a Miss! Well except for Scourge :)
