@GtGills thats a problem that happens to all people over time... to solve it just make sure you wd40 it or oil it after each run and that well help it run smoothly, and will take longer to shred apart on you

I don't know what "everybody" you are talking to, but the Slash 4x4 truck is water safe. The motor, esc, and servos are safe for water and the rx is inside a sealed box. As long as you have a battery that is water safe, you can run it in water. I run mine in mud, snow, water, etc. all the time. Just make sure you clean and lubricate it well afterwards, or your parts will rust. :)

well traxxas markets this truck as "waterproof" so I would say the battery is fine that they send with it. I use a 3S lipo 5200 mah battery in mine most of the time.

lol. Thanks! The tire is fine. I glued it again right after the video. And yes the Jeep Wrangler is a jeep I drive all the time. It has been shown in quite a few of my videos. It's not just a prop for the video, it's a real jeep. :)

Thanks. glad they helped. You're question has 2 different answers. The E-MAXX is defintely better in snow because it has higher ground clearance and wider tires. But the Slash is a better / more realistic racer on pavement.

At 0:56 it looks you're getting water build-up in your tires. Just take a tiny nail and poke a few holes around the tire and its totally avoidable. Best of all, if you use a small nail then the hole will be barely visible and small enough to where debris wont build-up in it, yet the centrifugal force of the tires will be enough to push at least most of the water out. Putting it out there as a tip.

Thanks man. The only water proofing I did was to put the receiver inside of a balloon and taped it closed. And it's still inside the receiver box too. That's it.

nope. I slather them with lubracant before running in the water, then afterwards I use WD-40 to get rid of the water and then slather them with lubricant again. If it looks like they are starting to rust, I just replace them. no problems. :)
