The japanese letters on Gilgamesh's buster sword literally say "fake".

It's not a Japanese letter but a Chinese character called Kanji which they assimilated into their own language.

Even though, Gilgamesh is known as one of the more pathetic Final Fantasy bosses, I can't help but feel that I like the guy, traveling sword collector, I like the concept, now if he could only be in a respectable boss battle. Still love the song, gets me thinking hard when I'm trying to think of a battle scene.

I haven't played FF12 but from what i've read from the internet, he has quite the collection of different swords, including Buster Sword from FF7, Revolver from FF8, Brotherhood from FF10 and Zantetsuken from some Odin... except their all fakes.

While that may be the buster sword, there is simply no relation between FF7 and FFXII. Though the creators want you to think there is some bullshit conspiracy so they can of course, make the game more popular and sell more XIII copies. Which is basically all they are doing right now, with all the remakes.

You do realize Giglamesh is like a final fantasy trademark right? He appear's in clearly more game's then 1 and the sword's are just for decoration, and they also are labelled fake. Meaning there not really trying to make it more popular then put some humor in it... I seriously dont know what kinda idiot's will think it relates with another final fantasy. None taken, but how was i supposed to know it means fake? I honestly had no clue, but obviously not many others know that as well. So that means people would still think it relates to another Final Fantasy.
