  • At least Scotland got to play ...which is more than England did !!

  • Song's as bad as the performances on the field. Don Masson my arse.

  • Like me, although born south of the border, Rodders has always embraced his Scottish roots, even scheduling tours around when Scotland (and Celtic) are playing in anger.

  • this make sme laugh my dick off. Remeber watching the 1978 and ally mcleod with his head in his hands..............funny as fuck. And ridiculous rod traitor stewart and andy fat bloke cameron singing shit like this. England 1966 he he he heh e

  • ole

  • He didn't sing this when I saw him last year lol

  • Birth name Roderick David Stewart

    Born 10 January 1945 (1945-01-10) (age 66)

    North London,[1] England

Just wondering why he chose scotland.

  • @lifeonthebeach Because we still have a good time when we lose, we dont 'boo' and go home greetin!

  • @GrazaShaw I was just wondering why he chose Scotland, I was not critisizing his choice, I couldnt give a fuck about Englands or scotlands football team, I am an avid Manchester united supporter, Having had a season ticket for over 30 years, most United fans are anti England anyway for the way the English fa has treated us over the years,

  • If Rod's such a Scot, why's he drinking a bottle of Lowenbrau? Surely a can of nasty old Tartan Bitter would have been more appropriate, even if it is weaker.

  • @JiggleronTheRoof Rod is British he was born in Highgate in London. The erst of his family was born and raised in Scotland except Rod and his mom Elsie. Rod considers Scotland his spiritual home. HES NOT A BALL BAG! His concerts stills ell out and his tour this year with Stevie Nicks was one of the successful tours of this year! Ive seen him 11 times in concert and Ill be seeing him in las Vegas on August 27th!

  • I'm not sure what to think about this song - maybe a case of it's so bad that it's good!

  • probably the last great world cup

music was far better then too

its not being an old git, its true :)

  • @GriefTourist wasnt even born until 85 but ye probably right my friend the last world cup was pishhhhhhh lol :D

  • @GriefTourist You are right, me and my brother always say that was the best WC we can remember. Funnily enough John Motson said the same thing, so it's not nostalgia. More teams more shit games.

  • Not a vintage year for Rod, with this & that Leopard print catsuit.

  • The players Scotland had at their disposal - Dalglish, Sounness, Buchan, Jordan, Gray, Gemmill, Macari, McQueen et al they should have put on a better show.

  • @flaxonx3 Indeed, they were an outside bet to win the World Cup that year, now look at how low they are, the UK needs a strong Scotland team again.

  • C'mon Scotland "Alba Gu Brath"

  • Comment removed

  • Beat the Netherlands though and only missed out on goal difference of progressing

  • One of the best World Cup records. Great lyrics and a good beat

  • "We're gonna bring that World Cup back from over there...". Hmmm they didn't even get past the group stage as I recall, but at least they got there in the first place.

  • @sct353 what a team they had though, would hold their own in todays games i think.

  • BEST WORLD CUP SONG EVER 1978 WELL DONE ROD

  • Cockend of a wannabe Scotsman/

Irishman..oh whatever the fxck he is......funny that the only decent thing this ball bag did was with the Faces...

  • This competition was held in Argentina, right? So why are they playing Brazilian samba music? How would they like it if Scottish culture was being represented by Chas and Dave?
