Thanks for the kind words of support dude. I am getting better at it day by day but it is a steep learning curve. Putting some hours in on Phoenix RC too.
I have had about 10 flights since I repaired it (I buried it into the garden). So not long really. I fly RC planes too as well as a Honey Bee FP and a Robins 22.
The head lock gyro does it's best to keep the tail locked in one direction when you are giving stick inputs and it seems to do this pretty well. That way your not having to worry too much about the tail swinging round when you are trying to hover. Great for learning!
Just fitted a head lock gyro to mine and I hope it'll make the difference between flying and crashing. I think I made the mistake of buying the CP as a first RC, it's a bit of a handful (I'm better at repairing it than flying it).
Anyway it's nice to see that it can be tamed, nice flying.
how long can you fly this till the battery runs out?

About 10 mins from a full charge but it depends on how hard you are pushing the heli.

If you crash with a carbon fibre tail boom and a blade strike happens what happens to the tail boom

The tail boom gets cut up pretty badly. When I struck the boom on my CP it had to be replaced.

Keep going, mate !
It's like me the first times I startet that thing.
Now, after 120 flights I'm still afraid to invert it. Maybe you'll do it soon... good luck.
