I don't think this would work. Nintendo has far more franchise characters. The only characters Sega has on the level of Zelda, Mario, Metroid or Pokemon is Sonic. Of course people remember the green dude from Golden Axe or Axel from SOR, but they don't compare. To me they do, but looking at the sheer number of classic games Nintendo characters have been in, from NES, SNES, N64, GC and Wii, Sega hasn't got the numbers. To me, Hazuki > anyone.

I think this is a great idea. The problem is it might not be likely to happen. If you take a look at the Smash Bros games, they are really by Hal Laboratory inc. So, if Nintendo and Sega wanted to do this, they should get Hal Laboratory involved to make it like Smash Bros and not get into any kind of trouble for not getting permission from them.

I don't really think it's a good idea because there is no Nintendo vs Sega. Why? Because Sega can't even put out a good game without it being on NINTENDO'S system. Then all their bad games get released on 360 or PS3. If Sega had their own system like way-back-when and had good Sega games oon it (Remakes, new games, etc.) Then MAYBE Nintendo and Sega could have a rivalry again. But not anymore, as they work together now.
