Getting oil from pipelines flowing out of the oil fields of central asia would mean controlling the oil pipe in its entirety (the flow of liquid in any pipeline can be controlled from any shut off valve along the way). This of course would mean invading and stabilizing numerous countries along the way. Do you have any reason to believe the US plans on doing this...if so do tell.

It has been said that the A-10 performs it's role better than any other aircraft in the US armed forces can perform it's own role. At this point in time, there is no viable "replacement" for the A-10. Nuff said. :D

Well , I can clear up some disputes here.
If there is a need for close ground support for U.S. and coalition troops in a hostile region, the a-10 is the plane to have. I can assure you that the a-10 will seek and destroy any enemy combative with absolute predjidious. It is wise to not get in its path. Any political or social retoric is not an issue. Our boys (UNITED STATES SOLDIERS AND THOSE OF THE COALITION) are what matters most, if you do not agree, I consider you the enemy.

Getting oil from pipelines flowing out of the oil fields of central asia would mean controlling the oil pipe in its entirety (the flow of liquid in any pipeline can be controlled from any shut off valve along the way). This of course would mean invading and stabilizing numerous countries along the way. Do you have any reason to believe the US plans on doing this...if so do tell.
