You arrange a mortgage of £100,000 - then you earn a fee of £10,000... this is considerably cheaper than paying 5% over 25 years (or 10 for that matter). So the branch system will be commercially viable.

Only money already in existence and lent person to person attracts interest BUT only for up-front fees. All loans are available interest free. The 10% fee encourages saving. Re currency having same holding cost as consumables - you will note that I made the point that it is all based on available resources, I agree on that point. The currency only facilitates exchange.

BUT in days gone by it could be covered up easily... not so much now thanks to the Internet... their actions would be fully exposed and there would be an outcry. Some nice ideas but It won't happen while there's a royal family in the UK and all the nonsense that goes along with it....this reminds me of Zeitgeist as in it's never going to happen in a overlap with the current systems in place. Love the idea of interest free money and common law all the same.

We have been here before and what is being suggested, unless it becomes transparent, is as corruptible as anything that has gone before. I did that too, no record held by the court for 2 'liability orders' in the NAME for 'me'. 2006 was the last time I payed council tax.FOI requests have (eventually) provided photocopies of unsigned documents only.
