  • I just got the chills with his closing statement. It was absolutely amazing.

  • @haybale16 Indeed, I wish he was still around to see just where his dream took this nation

  • @lakersownsuns @haybale16 You can't really say that *all* of his dream came true, but you can say that at least part of his mission was successful. How would you define MLK's mission? You could say that it was to get rid of racism, as an understatement, but I feel that specifically, it was to end racism in america specifically with negoes (that's the word he used). I'd say that his mission was fairly successful, although there are still obviously racial barriers.

  • @Bshadow4 I agree, and I'm glad that you can look at the issue both objectively and fairly. Given, when I wrote my orginal comment I was a bit moved after having watched his speech. However, I feel like some people may have misconstrued the intention of my statement to mean that I believe racism has been completely eradicated in this country. I appreciate that you can see past the initial simplicity of my words and realize that there is much more to say on the matter than I originally typed.

  • 2:35

I said the same thing when I dropped my chick!

  • @420Kowalski

I know your comment is lighthearted and not meant to create a stir, but i'm sure many of those who pressed thumbs up do not comprehend the magnitude the words of Martin Luther the King.

  • They dont make them like that anymore

  • @monimstarfox who is they?

  • @skippy2885

    people

  • God i wish the guys who bombed his home during a campaign against discrimination gets fucking what they deserved this guy did so much but so many people defied against him. I mean since when did white people back then become the ultimate race i mean cmon there are other races too and they did not get discrimated as much as other races say blacks, asians etc. Yes i agree there can be some racism against whites but not as much i have to say

  • I just wish he were still around to see that we finally got there. His dream came true.

  • @haybale16 his dream came true? it was less than a year ago when Muslims were getting trashed because they wanted to build a mosque that was deemed "too close to ground zero."

Free at last, huh? Cut the crap

  • @lakersownsuns For one thing, I see no reason for your verbal hostility. We're just talking. Also, I was specifically referring to the freedom of his people, though you are correct in your statement that not all races are treated as equals. I'm sure that racism will never completely go away, and you'll never hear me denying that. Seems like we agree, huh? ; )

  • @haybale16 But you see.. just because theyre not forced to sit on the back of the bus and drink from separate water fountains.... doesnt mean that MLKs dream has come true. Ever heard of His Poor People's Campaign?

Most Black Americans are barely living above the poverty line ( if not below it). In the words of Malcolm X, black people have been searching for their pie-in-the-sky in heaven while the white man has his here on Earth...

  • @lakersownsuns I'm starting to see that you're not going to let me go on this one, huh? In all honesty, I think you're twisting my words a little bit. The dream he specifically refers to in this speech is the one that I am claiming came true. And in my opinion, it did, more or less. Of course black people are still treated badly by some people in some areas. But can't the same be said for countless others races across this country and even the entire world?

  • @lakersownsuns Also, I beg to differ on the whole "the white man has his here on Earth" thing. If you're going to deny the poverty and hardships of millions of white people across the nation, you're not seeing the big picture at all. You're seeing only what you want to see. I mean all of this in the most respectful way, of course. ^_^

  • @haybale16 i want you to do some research for yourself. I want you to study the staistics of poor American blacks vs poor American whites. When you do that, i dont want you to tell me what you think. I want you to see that the dream has not come true.

  • @lakersownsuns Not to seem hypocritical or anything, but I honestly have better things to be doing than over-analyzing this subject until the cows come home. Regardless of the statistics, which I'm sure are quite sad, you're kind of making this into a race issue when it doesn't have to be.

  • @lakersownsuns People in general decide for themselves how well they do in life (to an extent), and race has very little to do with how hard they try in school and throughout their careers. Please don't try to convince me that black people in general have it so bad, because that's a cop-out.

  • @haybale16 It's not a cop out. It' the truth. i can see how you have a hard time coping with this bitter reallity

  • @lakersownsuns Well, looks to me that this argument has come to a standstill. Since neither of us will concede, I'll go ahead and end this conversation. Have a good day.

  • @haybale16 its not a standstill but if you still believe the MLK Jr's dream came true, then you dont really understand his dream. I think MLK Jr. would be deeply saddened if he were still alive. Good day my friend.

  • @lakersownsuns Well, it is in my book, seeing as neither of us have changed our points of view and I don't see it happening in the near future. I respect your opinion, even if I don't agree with it, and I wish you the best. See you!

  • @haybale16 you have never spent time in atlanta have you

  • @Chaos149 Nope, can't say I have.

  • @haybale16 agreed. but i rest assured that he knew it was a cause worth dying for.

  • @LOLforLIFE123 You're right. :)

  • You know whats rediculus everyone still rasist

  • @CrashRproductions the difference is though, that those trashbags spouting idiotic racist statements, don't have the power to actually enforce those ideas on anyone. They are forced to spew their hate harmlessly on the internet instead of actually making laws, or anything that actually matters.

  • I...

  • Those last words seriously send chills down my spine.

  • why can't more black people be more like Dr king .....he would be completely ashamed of the modern black community.

  • this speech is one of the most beautiful things in my opinion.

those last words give me such goosebumps.

  • free at last, free at last, thank god almighty we are free at last!!!!

    great man.

  • @mushroomnegger Your a racist prick. Go back to your cave troll.

  • Wow four racists disliked this speech.

  • Malcolm X ftw!

  • Wow!! Absolutely amazing and powerful.

  • @pashedmotatoes u r so right, why can't we all live in a peaceful world

  • MLK was a great man and if he had lived would have been the first black president of the USA.

  • @MrAquafan Not a bat's chance.

  • @mushroomnegger THAT'S RIGHT YOU FACKIN' DOGSHIT! LET THE WHITE MAN RULE SO HE CAN FUCK UP YOUR WHOLE COUNTRY!! WHEN ITS TIME TO INVADE YOUR ASS, THE WHITE MAN WILL BE THE FIRST TO JUMP OUT THE FUCKIN' WINDOW!! HAHAHAHA!!!!! THE WHITE RACE IS A DEAD RACE - REMEMBER THAT MOTHERFUCKER!!!!

  • amazing, he has made it, no man wud have put his heart out dis efficiently through words.

  • Martin Luther King was the only one who preached EQUALITY. Honest Abe would be proud.

Abraham freed the slaves. He was a Republican.

Martin Luther King JR. brought forth civil rights. He was a Republican.

The Republican party was formed to stop the Democrats from spreading slavery. Their mission is complete. At last.

  • if mlk was alive today he would be shaking his head.

  • @1kanyeeast amen to that bro, but he made his point though

  • "I dream that one day, children will ask us, 'what was war?' and 'what was racism?"

  • free at last!!

i have a dream: one day, racism will be but a memory, locked up in history books for our children to read from and learn from.

God bless America, God bless the World!

May people be righteous and serve you, oh God. Thank you for saving us from our destruction.

  • Prophectic for ALL of us, just to understand what he meant.....

  • umm..i fought dis video was in english..but ..its gud thoug:)

  • What 2 fucktards gave this video a thumbs down?

  • @MultiMediaWill let me guess, neo nazis, kkk, yyou know bitter racist

  • That is tied for the first most epic moment in American history of the 20th Century. It is tied with Neil Armstrong's footsteps on the Moon.

  • FREE AT LAST FREE AT LAST!!!

  • @ble3d85 thank god almighty, im free at last

  • Black men are the leading cause of death among young blacks: Based on a 96 page report on the causes of premature death by the CDC, the leading cause of death among young blacks of both sexes appears to be black men.

Relationships with black men dramatically increase a womans chances of dying young.

Black females aged 15-19 are 3.9 times more likely to die of homicide or AIDS than white females in the same age group. This increases to 4.4 time for females aged 20-24 and 7.3 times for 25-34.

  • @Jokerr920 Martin Luther King did not stand up in front of hundreds of thousands of people just so you could say that it is the black man that are killing humans. We are all killing each other; it doesn't matter what your skin color is or where you were born. Races are mixing, and in the next fifty years we will all be beige.

  • @LonerGalore And I didn't get an education at my own expense, work my way up the ladder from an entry level position to a high level, buy my own house and a nice car just so some ghetto rat can stick a gun in my face and try to take it all away because he doesn't feel like working for it. In my city blacks make up 10% of the population yet commit 70% of the crime. These are FACTS! You don't like those numbers then it's THEM that you have a problem with, NOT me.

  • @Jokerr920 Is clearly not very intelligent...black crime rates are a symptom of a problem, not the problem itself.

  • @probablecausept You are right about 1 thing. Black crime rates ARE the symptom of a problem and not the problem it's self.

    BLACKS ARE THE PROBLEM.
