Weird game,high scoring,but not even close to a shootout,just alot of odd scores.Abney returned a punt later for a td,another example why zook shouldn't be anywhere near a sideline,unless its to keep the wires from a coaches headset from tangling.

Abney was truly one of my favorite UK football players of all time. He had heart, speed, and football savvy. I hope someday someone will post the rest of his amazing run backs on YouTube.

He got drafted by the Ravens, then released and signed immediatly to the Lions which then released him after a seasons worth. He then went to play over-seas football, where he dominated. Now he is done though, he's becoming a mechanical engineer with mathematics. Thats the last word I heard from him.

the same thing that happens to most white guys at black positions, they get bounced around the league or sent to nfl europe only to dominate but still not given a chance in the nfl, look at Aaron Boone from kentucky

boone, Undrafted, signed by Cowboys in 03. Cut. Signed by Bears and sent to NFL Europe in 04, where he continued his knack for scoring with limited touches. Had 4 touchdowns on just 13 catches for 221 yards. Cut by Bears. Signed by Panthers in 05 and sent to NFL Europe. Led the League in catches with 43, second in yards with 582, and second in touchdowns with 6 en route to being named All-League. Had just 2 catches for the Panthers that fall, but one went for a TD, before getting cut.
