I got a HD5870 and I sometimes get some real bad FPS drops (playing on enthusiastic@1248x1024). The game is playable, but lag occur.

No. What you do, its adjust it in the game to your liking, when you get the setting you like write them down.

Then go in the file to =

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Config­\CVarGroups

Open the Cvar you want to change, for example for HDR and SSAO you would open. ( sys_spec_Shading )

Find a command like r_HDRLevel and change it, or if it's not there just add it.

No, I play at 1440x900, I like it, But I use 1280x720 for the video's.

U should play 50% 720P and then upsacle the video to 720P it will stuill look good and give u better fps

When I use the natural mod on the gdc06 map, the colors and lighting is extremely dark. In your video, everything is much brighter and looks more realistic. How did you get it to look like that? And the sunshafts (lightbeams) are way too exaggerated. When I look up, they fill up 80% of the screen.

I don't like HDR. It's made to hide bad graphics. (Not in this game) And with it I can't see anything.

Actually HDR is just another Great way to increase the Realism of the Game.

HDR is Real, encase you didn't notice.

you obviously don't even know what HDR is bro, you probably mean BLOOM is made to hide bad graphics, (which it isn't, but your opinion = whatever), HDR is simply a way of simulating the way your eye adjusts to looking at a darker spot, then quickly transitioning to a brighter spot. HDR+bloom=the affect that makes you not able to see anything, but i don't see how you wouldn't be able to see unless you have your brightness turned as high as it goes.

To run Devmode encase your not.

Type this into your Windows Run command.

Yea, it's called go in your game folder/config/normal and remove all the energy usages.

I knew of the SSAO and HDR commands, but you should try "q_renderer 3" and "r_colorgrading 1". It will make colors look much better. You wont need them if you're already running dx10 though.

"e_water_ocean_fft" makes waves look better.

"e_shadows_max_texture_size xxxx" controls shadow resolutions.
