Brilliant!, thanks so much... I first saw them supporting U2 and the Comsat Angels @ rock City in Nottingham around '82 and have been a big fan ever since. Any chance of a playlist for this gig or just some indication of the set list?
my alltime favourite wall of voodoo song.....sardonic, cynical, solipsistic band.....the most difficult interview i ever did with a band...and worth every agonizing moment.....
It's rare I feel the dire need to comment.. but man. They were truly a talented bunch. Shame they made the decision to continue the same as WoV without Stan fronting 'em after album 2. Just as from the ashes of Joy Division, New Order was born (didn't keep the band name and pursued different tastes once their singer died) WoV might have had a similarly successful trajectory. Oh well...
This is a golden set of videos, irreplaceable. There is now a golden well of good karma awaiting you in the afterlife, just for the service to humanity you have provided in making these precious Wall of Voodoo videos available.
SUCH an amazing group, an amazing song as well. This is my all time favorite performance of this song.
