You seem to be working really hard on this horse! Kudos to you! Try working on tightening your turns, then adding speed. I guarantee it will cut some time off your final time.

I'm not trying to start anything, but that's kinda rude.. personally I have a little app who is a finished barrel horse and i'm working him on the poles and he's not the tallest horse either.. and I really hate it when people tell me I look to big on him.. ok so i personally dont like wearing helmets when racing. but i was in a really bad accident two years ago and if i wasnt wearing my helmet while just pleasure riding i would be dead right now. dont criticize against people who wear helmets because its their choice and they should be able to if they want. i dont in rodeos but sometimes while practicing i do. mostly because my horse is very green. and this isnt to the person who posted this just to riders in general.

You move too much in the saddle :/ I have always trained horses I work with to give into light pressure, "kicking" them like that only makes them stiff and dull. Try calming down a little more and collect yourself =)

Helmets r good for incase u get knocked off and the horse steps on ur head. Dont say helmets dont help u, they do. They r terribly annoyin! so i dont wear em, but they do help u.

i only where helments for jumping. Barrelracing your rubberbaned in the sturrups. If you fall off they break. I have fallen off so many times without a helment and it doesn't hurt!! If you have to where a helmet for barrelracing your a sissy!!

There have been to many times I've seen people fall and get critically injured because they didn't have a helmet. Please do not encourage people NOT to wear helmets. haha. The people taking the vids. were like KICK GO GO KICK KICK RUN STEER. haha. my mom does that don't worry. What I do instead of kicking all the time is push hard with my legs to drive him forward, and I always wear spurs just incase he needs a boost. That way the horse doesn't fall behind, but your not kicking the hell out of it. haha. Anyways, very impressive.

on the first run you went way too wide on the first barrel, and you came off wide on the second going to the third. on the second it was only a 14 because it was a tiny patern. charmane james would have made like a 9. don't kick wile you are going around the barrel.

BaylieAnne- Charmayne James couldn't make a 9 second barrel run, even on Scamper or Cruiser when they were 7, don't over-exaggerate it annoys people and you seem stupid, and 14 seconds is fast, youve probley never been timed before and that was a full pattern if you look where the timers are. BTW I think that the girl is doing an excellent job and its noticable she needs a new horse.

Your turning to close and to sharp around the barrels. You need to try to go around a lil' wider and not so close. Believe me, it works. But other then that, you look good. ^_^

Nice horse - great pole runs! On the barrels he really appears to lose momentum. He (she?)is tipping his nose to the outside. Fortunately he doesn't seem to drop his shoulder... It may help to straighten up or even tip his nose in and drive him up underneath to get more "4-wheel drive" in turns, and shave tenths off your time. Maybe you can critique my pole running in the future! I'm a reiner-gone-barrels, and have limited experience training on poles.
