  • This song is often associated with the Sand dance act from the 1930's by Wilson, Keppel & Betty. But the song was actually written by Ford & Chisholm in the 50's.

  • Oh we used this in a pantomime I was in just a few days ago. Gosh such a good laugh dancing back stage to the this x'D especially since I was the arse in a camel suit x'D

  • We used this as 'backing' when we perfomed the Sand Dance in the Northants area in the 1960's/70's/80's and now have it on CD - sad that Clinton is no longer with us as I would have loved to have got in touch to tell him how effective this song was as it entertained a lot of people in our domain but they perhaps didn't know who sung it - Gawd Bless yer, Sir! - truly missed..

  • My Favourite Song ever!I'm posting a version of this on youtube, playing my Ukelele-Banjo.Trust me!

  • Great number, Clinton Ford was a ''great old pro'' met him many times always an absolute gentleman, very charming and terribly smart, he was a good friend of Ronnie Hilton who lived nearby and we often met together, Ronnie too was a great entertainer and human being. Oh dear where are the people of their calibre today, we've lost so many with the passing of time, God Bless your memory Clinton.

  • Clint passed away 21st October 2009. A lovely guy and superb entertainer. We're gonna miss you Clint. God bless.
