The better way of copy & pasting is going to "File > Place" and then selecting the image file.

Okay, well I've never used CS3, but I know it doesn't have the tabs interface that CS4 has. If it's like some other programs I've used I'd guess you can switch between open files by going to "Window" in the menu bar and looking for the name of the file in the drop down menu.

@cutnessforeva i know how to work wmm but when i used to use it you couldnt really do anything in it but if you want cool effects just go to google and type windows moviemaker effects if you just have the normal effects you wont have a stop motion and wmm doesnt have copy and paste sony vegas does i hope this helps ^^

Well if the image was too big when you pasted it you can just hit ctrl+t to transform it and make it smaller. Then, to make it blend in you could set the layer blending option to something like Overlay or whatever looks good.
