when i first saw a record... i thought it was a massive cd..and soon i found out it wasn't a i saw my mom's record so i placed it a played with...it was playing bruce springsteen..
Got the very same album, Chart hits 81 lol!! Good to see folks bringing out their vinyl again. Lol at your daughter!! trying so hard to either stay out of site or be in disguise!! nice one guys :-)
I took out my mom and dads old record player and right when i placed the needle on the record, it player for 5 sec then the needle broke. Now I cant find a place that sells needles.
Great video!! I'm glad the phono still works, and you seem to love the music still. Fact: It's My Party by Leslie Gore. The follow-up sequel to that song was It's Judy's Turn To Cry The "Century" book on the shelf shows you're a thinking person.
Great record player, I wish that I had a decent old one, I have one of those new ones that dosen't last very long, I still choose vinyl over CD if something is released on Vinyl and CD
Kool, I've been working on adding videos of some of Carpenter's vinyl, I've only uploaded 2 so far, I'm gonna add more when I get my camera back from my friend, but you can watch the two if you want
hey cookingUK, very fine approach to educating the gal into vinyl love and love for music.
And it looks like that player is a relative of PHILIPS. They used to be activated by pulling the tonearm back and turned off by pulling the towards the spindle.
What's that weird alternative band you play after MICHAEL JACKSON ?
This is totally cool. Mum, you've got the moves and it's especially thrilling to see you introduce your great musical memories to your daughter. What a great viddy! Thanks so much for sharing!
Even with all the new advances in technology from CD's to digital downloads none of them really compare to putting a record onto a player! very cool... d;-)
aww thank you Zipster08, I watch all your videos also, you are alot of fun-Bryan Ferry ? I havent heard him playing its my party. I like him , will have to track it down. Thanks again Zipster08
Loved it! We still have our record player and play it from time to time. I agree with aimenhoodle, there is something about the hissing sound. Our son is use to the record player but some of his friends have no clue what it is.. they never seen one. That boggles my mine. Thanks for sharing, ~Martha
That was fun, listening to the old records. How odd they seem now, records. The idea that they are so fragile. I had to explain the phrase "to sound like a broken record" to my 18 year old daughter a few years back. She had never seen one being played! Thanks for sharing.
LOVE it! I love old record players... there is something nostalgic about the hiss on the LP while you're listening to your old favorite albums. Peace... 8-)
