  • hey cookingUK, very fine approach to educating the gal into vinyl love and love for music.

And it looks like that player is a relative of PHILIPS. They used to be activated by pulling the tonearm back and turned off by pulling the towards the spindle.

What's that weird alternative band you play after MICHAEL JACKSON ?

That vinyl is probably worth some money.

    Thanks for the smile. :D

  • ha ha, she is fine, she had no idea how that thing worked. I am 100% sure that these records are not worth any money. Thanks djdevo

  • Loved it! We still have our record player and play it from time to time. I agree with aimenhoodle, there is something about the hissing sound. Our son is use to the record player but some of his friends have no clue what it is.. they never seen one. That boggles my mine. Thanks for sharing, ~Martha

  • ha ha , thank you Jinxie228-amazed it still worked. I think it needs a new needle though.

  • That was fun, listening to the old records. How odd they seem now, records. The idea that they are so fragile. I had to explain the phrase "to sound like a broken record" to my 18 year old daughter a few years back. She had never seen one being played! Thanks for sharing.

  • She can watch this video and explain it to her friends, thank you crewglass

  • LOVE it! I love old record players... there is something nostalgic about the hiss on the LP while you're listening to your old favorite albums. Peace... 8-)

  • They might hiss but they give a good loud sound, thanks aimenhoodle
