I'll take a look at the patents. Good example on Droid. SS, HTC, Motorolla for Verizon, never dawned on me until you mentioned it. I just hope that the connector stays consistent, and we don't end up with 2 or more.
@ReadWriteAccess You mean like SONY have already done? (like they did with FireWire too) People give Apple a bad rep for using "proprietary" stuff and seem to give SONY a free pass lol. USB weren't too happy to see them using a USB3.0 port for their implementation of Thunderbolt, I'm sure Intel and Apple aren't too happy either. Way to start a standard when everyone uses different ports.
