Just spent another wonderful weekend with the evangelical relatives. Not only are they against evolution, they say that global warming is actually a good thing because it creates a substance in the atmosphere that can be used to sterilize surgical instruments. Just spent another wonderful weekend with the evangelical relatives. Not only are they against evolution, they say that global warming is actually a good thing because it creates a substance in the atmosphere that can be used to sterilize surgical instruments. Yup, its a fact! Hopefully, this substance (they couldn't quite remember what it is called) isn't bleach. These people are also home schooling their kids. Considering neither one graduated from high school, its pretty scary.

The same method used for paternity testing is used to determine evolutionary relationships. Creationists trust paternity testing, so they have no reason to not trust the same kind of DNA analysis that has shown beyond any doubt we share common ancestors with the other great apes. However the fact that primates and humans use "like" genes DIFFERENTLY and differences that exist within their mitochrondrial DNA means that there is actually is NO genetic link between APES and humans.
