  • Nice very nice!

  • like the video. the song is so smooth.love it. music like this is just not being made no more. it's a shame. great song.

  • A real nice song / tune with a beautiful slide show........I also bought the album when it was first released. Well done.

  • really, nicely done on this! thanks for posting

  • @espigeromaximo

Very well put -- it is a Masterpiece -- then, now and forever. A timeless, genius creation from SOS. Also another perfect song from SOS for a long, care-free drive (day or night).

  • There's always one in every crowd.

  • Nada como los 80's...Que recuerdos!

  • Average 80's stuff really..... Just brilliant!!!

  • " there`s more love than money changing hands"....

  • this song ia fucking masterpiece!!! great rythm and super vocals!

  • @espigeromaximo Well said, absolutely true.

  • Very nice work, thanks for sharing it. I hope is not the last one, because the author has very good taste to combine music and images...

  • I heard this on my car radio in 1988 on "The Wave in LA and immediately drove to a record store and bought the tape. 23 years later, I still love it!

  • Sensacional essa música!!!!!!

  • still would love to see an update to my fave SoS song.

so very sage in its words, and fun to dance to in it's instrumentations.

  • I just love the music of Andy and Corrine. I;ve got all othere cd's from the 1980's and 1990's.

  • More sax please....

  • classic my mom use to listen to this track over and over

  • swing out is one of those bands with so much talent they are only famous for their hit "breakout" but they have so many great songs!!!

  • The "It's Better To Travel" CD sounded so good in 1987 and sounds even better today. Thank you VH1 for playing their music back then. Played this tune on my Sony WalkMan cassette player over and over.

  • @marcbolanlives1972 VH1 is where you would hear this type of music. Sad we don't hear this anymore except on YouTube!

  • Yo I remember this one, and whenever I listen to it I think of New York City, sounds like a bustling city and nothing else matches it except probably London. Wonderful tune!!!!

  • this is pure music

  • Sounds like that,i belive that we will never hear. I have the vynil edition from 1987.When i smell the album,i remember these years...

  • This song relaxes your nerves :)

  • Love this song and remix. real music

  • thanx ever so much love this tune

  • before to love......it's all wonderful....better than after!

  • timeless song

  • cool

  • this is a great Tango tune....

  • bravissimi!!!!!

  • Isn't this considered something like a jazz-rock fusion?

  • nicely done

  • Love it!! Nice beat & melody!! Sets a nice mood!

  • I loved this song way back when I bought the "Its Better to Travel" cassette tape back when it first came out.. and still love this version to this day. Beautiful!

  • In 1988 I loved "Breakout," but THIS is the song that really turned me into an avid SOS fan. I still am.

  • Faantastic this is real music.

  • SwNgOuTSisT....So KoOl ...So MeLLOw!!!

  • This is a great song for someone with sophisticated R &B preferences. Beautiful and driven!

  • Think of the nightlife in New York and L.A........this is the theme song for such moments.....the horns, the strings, and man those vocals.....who says the British doesn't embrace American R&B?........Their music is influenced by it!.......RECOGNIZE!!!!!!!

  • I love this music in this song, and the lead singers voice. The music is very dramatic, sounds like a film score, love it!

  • @keyzitis ...and sounds like Sade too. Nice feeling!

  • Creativity AND talent!!!!!

  • Wonderful accompanying images to a truly GREAT song. I come back from time to time and play this one in particular. Thanks for posting.

  • My all time favorite from Swingout Sister, and of course Circulate!! I've worked over 500 concerts...never SOS "Bummer"

  • I call this my theme song to Los Angeles, Everytime I hear this song, It reminds me of L.A., Coolest city in the country.

  • I am sick of this Shit with Amazon. They advertise "Download this song" yet they're selling some live version that does not rock like this recorded version. Itunes is just as bad. They edit the song cutting off the intro and the end. Who the hell is resonsible for this crap??

  • @shjakes Took me two seconds to find the right version. Yeah, the YouTube links to the version on their Live album, but just click on the page to see all their mp3 downloads...Twilight World is third on the list. This is one of their most popular songs.

  • Out of all the great and wonderful SOS songs, this is my all time favourite. Just funky from start to finish

  • @ukdavepianoman you get no argument from me. It still sounds funky even you play it today.

  • oh, and the key to the song it 'twightlight, that place and moment between thedark of night and the light of day.'

love the latin jazz and blues rift interplay.

  • love this song its perfect the way if flows and transistions, brings back good memories

  • @utubescent The song is just excellent and does flow very nicely. When I was overseas, it was popular with the ladies. Corrine Drewery is definitely very underrated as a singer. She makes the song work without going over the top. A very fine song from a very fine album.

  • new york 1988,i had just moved back to the city from anchorage a.k .this album was playing constantly, great to dance to.

  • musica stupefacente! Il più bel brano dei Swing Out Sister!

  • Totally for sophisticated music lovers

  • i still remember when this song was aired on the radio, simply beautiful and brings back alot of sweet memories.

  • BACK TO THE COFFEE HOUSE AND CRUISIN TO CANADA WITH SPIFF IN THE MPV SONG

  • @uthmanamoni

I hear you baby. Pass the dutchie. I got that 60 on it and the Dutch Masters so we be ready to roll. Holla! let not forget the big bag of Cheetoes. I get the munchies like a motherfucker!

  • I always considered this mix the "real" version, since it's the one I always heard on WNWV The Wave in Cleveland in 1991

  • I think this opening might have influenced Eric Clapton on "Bad Love"

  • Awesome music. The music is so, so good. The swirling, talking strings/(keyboard work) and that snare drum just falling down steady, POW!.....POW!......POW!.....POW! She sings off that BEAT so surely. The background vocal supporting pattern is so NICE. This song is total hall of fame.

  • I heard this on the radio today. I tell you, smooth jazz can make a bad day turn into a happy day. This is a very relaxing and great song!

  • ahhhh...such a masterpiece...original creativity and great horns...thank you.

  • @max11paz Yes, max, I hear you.....those fabulous horns are rave. Bright, upbeat, put-a-hold-you, vibrant horns!

  • Great voice, great tune and wonderful selection of photographs.

  • 冒頭の東京駅のアナウンスが耳に残りますね。

  • takes me back to travels in my dads car:) some fab old tunes

  • me faz lembrar a Lisa Stanfield...canta Demais....amei

  • Totally agree with you GBS

  • I always loved this song, the music has a great Latin flavor and feel to it.Fantastic!

  • Very nice song... I heard so, 80's - From São Paulo/BRAZIL!

  • I adore this whole song but the beginning is just magical. It's instantly recognizable.

  • Yeah - it's a real tribute to the strength of Andy's musicianship that the opening can run a full 1:20 - over a third of the length of a typical song - and not ever feel or sound "boring" in the least.

And to think, this classic (along with their blockbuster hit, "Breakout!" which put them on the international map) was on their DEBUT album!

The full-length 6:29 version never seems long, and that wonderfully coquettish, seductively melodic "Woo-hoo!" at 4:10 gets me every time! Rewind time.

  • @mistermisterxx

It gives me chills whenever I hear Corinne do the "ooo-oooh" at 4:10. Her voice is absolutely tonally pure. Corinne's vocal ability is only matched by her beauty. And Corinne is beautiful beyond words.

  • @mistermisterxx -A'int that the TRUTH !!?? The combination of horns and strings in the intro is one of the most outstanding and memorable creations I've ever heard and it remains near the top of my list of musical favorites....after all these years :)

(Kinda reminds me of "Tale of Two Cities" -Salsoul Orchestra)

  • Love this song. My favorite Swing Out Sister song!

  • Corinne's lyrics and vocals...Andy's compositions...just doesn't get any better than this. 5 stars, thanks!

  • ottima musica,lei ottima voce.

  • The "intro" in this song has a lot of soul and Ms. Corinne has a soulful spirit. I just love this song and the Swing Out Group. Sister's got it going on!!

  • Don't be fooled by love songs and lonely hearts..

Twilight World is smooth as silk with plenty of

    Swing Out Soul

    Five Stars

  • Twilight World has that mid 1960's 'international vibe' about it..........much like jetsetters living the good life :)

  • I love this breezy group- you really hit the nail on the head in your characterization.

  • Good job! I like how it's movement flows like a dream within a dream... how a "twilight world" may be.

  • Just love this tune..!

  • @Camachoman0898 I love this tune, too!

  • just beautiful. in heaven****

  • LOVE THIS ONE!!

  • This one gives me goose bump....

  • now they beach concert here in Singapore.. that great

  • nicely done, great Music! Corinne has a marvelous voice, and umm, well she can have a sleepover at my house anytime, flannel sheets girl!

  • Any way you look at it ...

This is a great jam !!!

Some good music did come out of the 80's after all.

  • @sacnusum most of the best music was in the 80's really I'd say from '65 to maybe '92 is when we at least had real artists and music

  • It's nice and refreshing to see that all responses to date--Oct. 16, 2009--are positive and that so far, no neer-do-well sourpuss has jumped in here to criticize the music or video. Great performance--great "audience!"

  • Great! Great!!!

  • love the song the moment i heard it!! true classic!!

  • Awesome Job !! Beautiful =)

  • Fantastic!

  • I love this song and this remix is NICE...relaxing and oh so comfortable

  • Some how listening to this just makes me want to lay back and close my eyes and just chill. :)

  • Probably one of the best remixes of its time and a definite modern classic. A guaranteed relaxant as the title on the LP suggests - "The Superb, Superb Mix.

    How very true.

  • Swing Out Sister. My Favorite! I was going to post this song, but then i found this. Maybe i will go ahead and do it cuz i have it ready to upload already. lol

  • "C-H-I-L-L"....... "P-E-A-C-E"

  • Add me to the list of SOS fans. During a decade that at times produced some pretty dreary music, their's was dynamic and often quite original. Consistently outstanding instrumentals including a superb rhythm section. Thanks for posting LL.

  • WOW!! Good song, good job on the video too. This is a class song sung by a very talent person.Long live SOS, keep on playing.

  • NICE! Thank You.

  • Wonderful video and i like how u did the pictures with the song. I love this song sincce I was a teen back in 87.

  • the spoken language begining of the song is Japanese that announced the Tokyo railroad station bullet train the Shinkan-sen / supper express just arrived the station.

  • Thank you, it was a long time I was trying to understand what was the language. Ciao

  • Domo aritgatoo gozaimasu !

  • This is the result of "real musicians" composing and performing "real music"

It's called "creativity", something that is almost completely missing in todays music..

  • ....u have said so much in such a short amount of time....may the world reach a point where the word "art" once again has meaning and grace......and the dollar takes second fiddle.....

  • @GBS1043 Completely agree

  • @GBS1043 hell yeah hun! don't you dare come off that soapbox! YAY! =D

  • this song is a classic..and the picture montage is excellent...thanx for sharing....

  • timeless,love it.

  • at the beginning of the song, what's the language spoken by the speaker?

  • AMAZING

  • I've often described how I heard this album track on the radio in 1987 - before "Breakout" broke out here in the States - and afterward I got down on my knees and thanked the Lord there were still folks out there making good music.

  • I'm with you 100% with this one - real quality, then as now! Even my 21 year old son rates this track...

  • Still sounds fantastic 20 years on!

  • great atmosphere to this song!It holds up 20 years later!!!

  • Awesome photos of God's beautiful world!!! The song ain't half bad either(Lol!!) Good job Laybuy Lee!!!!

  • This was a great song!

  • And still is...

  • @MUZIKNFILMZ It STILL is a great song

  • Fantastic pictures of twilight time

  • No Words can Accurately Describe How This Song Moves Me!

    Now and Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes

  • The song, and the mix of it, are what got me into SOS back in 1987, when I heard it cranking out of WRHU-FM in Hempstead, NY (before I started working there). I got down on my 19-year-old knees and thanked God there was room for good music in the world. Twenty-one years later, Corinne and Andy still haven't disappointed me.

  • @davemock corrine and andy kick some serious booty!!

  • When I was on myspace 2 years ago, this group was on my page. They reach across the genres. Thanks a lot.

  • nice song and beautiful video! thanks!!!!

  • Musicaal Excellent

  • No problem. A great version of a great track.
