I was about three or four people away from the kid who Obama threw the water bottle to. I could have grabbed it, but in retrospect, I'd feel bad if I intercepted the Presiden'ts pass...
I was there for that rally! you should have seen it! the line to get in wrapped all the way around the block and down a second one! And yes, Caroline and Ted Kennedy, along with Rosa DeLora, did appear and pledge their support for Obama
All the empty comments about Obama, is exactly what he's speaking out against. These comments are made by people who are afraid of change because change will make them have to work harder.
Quick, name me 3 "changes" that this guy is going to make and explain exactly how he will do it. Quick, name me one single thing that this guy accomplished as a State Senator or U.S. Senator. Quick, explain why this guy has the same exact "women fainting" scenarios at different rallies, with Obama saying the exact same thing as the incident before. He's all style and no substance.
Thoes are not solutions to perceived problems. Those are talking points for the "Move On" and Socialist crowd. Anybody can throw out wild, hair brained ideas...getting them accomplished is quite another thing.Where does the money come from for all his ideas? If the terrorists had a vote, who do you think they would vote for? McCain or Obama? Many dictators were also able to excite their people. I'll be a Republican rat until I'm a dead rat.
Yes he makes pretty speeches. But he is EMPTY on substance. What tiny crumbs that pass for substance can be describe as SOCIALISM. Liberals lap up the pretty speeches, because they think with their emotions NOT their intellect. THIS IS MY FREE SPEECH OPINION.
exactly...and not to say Obama is bad...but he talks like Hitler did. He electrifies the crowd and gets them to chant his slogans. THe whole thing is like a cult.
Your comment is offensive and unacceptable. To make comparisons to Hitler, a man who orchestrated the deaths of millions of Jews, and a man running for President because of his ability to make Americans feel inspired during his speeches...well, you sir or madam, are a fool.
Am AMERICAN and proud of it. I was only stating someone else's opinion. Not really mine. I actually kind of like Obama and I am a registered Democrat.
You know what? How about you Paultards wake up and realize your dream candidate is simply a wacky Republican who doesn't have a chance in hell of winning?
Instead of trolling videos for real candidates who actually might win and be in a position to effect change, maybe you can stop your silliness and volunteer for a campaign that actually inspires people.
Your guy had a good run and made some waves, but it's over. Wake up, Paultards. Obama is our best chance at change.
Hah! The constitution!! I can't believe he'd try and use the constitution in one of his speeches.
What a bunch of horseshit. He'll say whatever it takes to get people hooked.
...one thing he is dead on about is that a lot of republicans have lost faith in the GOP. That's why so many of us love Ron Paul. He's an actual republican and not a cocksucker like Bush or McCain. He's not a weasel like Romney or Hillary. He can't be bought like Obama. He actually knows what the constitution stands for.
Zitronekopf, you *do* realize that Obama taught constituional law at the University of Chicago Law School for over a decade, right?
"It certainly is an advantage that he really knows the Constitution of the United States," said Professor Cass Sunstein. "I don't know if we have had a president that knows as much about the founding document as he does."
No, actually I did not know that. That is impressive, and thanks for letting me know.
However, his view of the constitution is that it needs to be reinterpreted time and again as the country grows. The problem with that view is that while he interprets it one way, the next president can interpret it another, once the power of the constitution is broken down, you can't get that back.
George Bush "interpreted" the constitution and got around needing congress to declare war. Now we're in Iraq.
Many at the time of slavery interpreted the constitution to not include rights for black people and women. Society needed a change back then for the constitution's ideals to reach their full potential and it needed a president to back up those claims, starting with Lincoln.
We are at a time now when we need someone who isn't afraid to stand up as our voice and for what is right. With new technologies and threats mounting every day, we are going through another transitional period and we need someone strong with radical goals to bring us back to those original ideals and the spirit that founded this country.
"we need someone strong with radical goals to bring us back to those original ideals and the spirit that founded this country." - I completely agree. And I think that the ideas of a free market, privacy, self-preservation, limited government power, and prosperity are all ideals that founded this country.
Way to use Ron Paul's message without the record or ideals to back it up. Where in the Consitiution does it talk about Universal Health Care or intervention in foriegn countries?
agreed...i had chills running down my spine throughout the speech...the crowd was so live and diverse...this man gives me a kind of hope I've only ever felt when reminiscing on past civil rights activists...
my lord. 17,000 ppl getting together for a cause that isn't American Idol or Football. The last time I saw something this electric was when I marched against the war in 2002 in NYC.
My brother and Uncle went! I was pretty pissed that I din't go, I had to work instead. I should've called out sick!lol

And no, I don't think Obama would have put us in Iraq...especially since he voted against it.
But then there's Iran...
The constitution is not muddled, it is very clear and it's not for the president to decide that it means "this" when really it means "that".
