That's crazy! We practically drove right past each other, as I was racing to bring the rental back. And I do mean racing. I'm guessing you were on your way down home?
It will take a mega-email my brother! I am keenly aware of being terribly remiss. Catching my breath, and will surface soon soon! That 50 lb hammer has almost been swinging me.
Yes, isn't that a crazy amount of light at 5:30AM? The bridge & sky could certainly give a hint of Sydney, at least in mood. It was SO time I got over being too rattled to drive. Wot a thrill to have become 'normal' in at least one department, lol!!! More later, my brother. Much more.
"EXPRESS" way "RUSH"-hour... I always find streets called Mount Pleasant or Hope Street have that irony about them too! (I'm sure there are pleasant Mount Pleasants and inspirational Hope Streets and really fast expressways but....)
Merci beaucoup Thierry. Toute a fait. Pour moi, tres grand moment, car j'ai su vaincre une grande et ancienne anxiete vis a vis conduire en ville. Quel triomphe alors!! Partie II s'en vient.
Absolutely! I muted our voices, but we had to decide NY or Vermont while crossing the bridge, because the exit comes up right as you get over the bridge. Crazy, but SO much fun! PS: Part II shows a pulper, they STILL give me the heebeejeebees!
That was very enjoyable, indeed! I am also looking forward to Part Two! PS: Dorrie bought me a "hula girl", but she hasn't been anywhere w/ me yet! lol! You did a great job w/ driving! Proper following distance, and all that...
Yia sou koukla mou!! Wow, glad you noticed my 'mad skills' behind the (tightly gripped) wheel. Used to be scared witless of big trks...THAT was before finding youse guys on YT. Now I know a) not to malinger in the blind spot alongside in case of sudden aligator-making event b) pass & speed the hell up if I'm going to pass, c) give 'em lottsa room I can and no one will get hurt. In Part 2, I'm doing 90mph, but did not exactly film it, cause THAT coulda been stoopid dangerous.
Hey Anna, I was just in your neck of the woods on last Wed. (July 8th) ....all though I stuck on highway 20 ...way less traffic!!!

Bummer. I always found it hard to return from the east coast. It is like no other place on earth. Very glad that you got away. You deserved it!

Was wondering what you were up to ... and then this. Like the way you answer my questions!
Bits of it felt like Sydney on an overcast winters morning. Can't believe its that light at 5:30AM?
Congrats on facing up to them demons ... can't wait for parts 2, 3, 4, 5 .......

I really just enjoy the narration... The best parts!

It was so fun to do. Part II is quite different - live shots of me and Tariza being drenched, being silly. There is horse puckey involved.
Anna1755 2 years ago
Sounds like fun! Can't wait to see it!

Well, I've sure been learning from all you guys! Thanks Tami.
Yes, we have at least 5 bridges, given that Montreal is an island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River.
So glad you liked it. Workin' on Part Deux.
Anna1755 2 years ago
I really like how you narrated this! I'm going to have to take lessons from you!
This area looks like the Seattle area. LOVE the bridges...You did a marvelous job.
Please make a part 2 and edit just as perfectly as this one!

Are you comeing too Houston, Texas
rp1430 2 years ago
Not quite yet. It was only a 2-day rental. When I do move to the States, I will likely be driving solo, like a south-bound train.
Anna1755 2 years ago
Wonderful that you are driving again! I have to tell you that the Townes Van Zandt song is one of my favorites. Eagerly awaiting part two.

Thanks Alan. Yes, it's great to be back in the saddle again. Is not TVZ something though?! Him and Blaze....they just amaze me to pieces.
