It is great to see how you went and asked people you were filming if they were ok, I mean ffs come on, put the bloody camera down and help! And before you go off at me, I rescued 15 people from a collasped building (which I was in at the time), I walked the 15km home to check on family and neighbours, and then spent the next 48 hours in the CBD helping out. That aside next time don't just film.
I thumbs upped here, not because of the devastion and grief, which we all grow to endure in life . . . but because of the great camera work.
I would never have experienced any of this if it wasn't for this video and the nifty work done on the lens. But have a look at 5:45 and see that bloke on the camera.
Everybody else is running like their cocks have been chopped off but the camera men just stand and capture it for us!
@MRCLINTFLICK Mate it was wide spread devastation, the streets were clogged up. I was one of the first to get to the PGC building that collapsed and it took ages for the emergency services to get there we flagged down a fire truck that didn't even know where it was going, communications were down and there was carnage everywhere. Some people get stuck in and rescue others were terrified everyone reacts differently and until you're in that situation you don't know how you'd react
@zukomina Yeah man, I get your drift. A couple of years ago, I was sitting at the lights behind a woman who didn't even look at the on-coming traffic. She drove straight into a light truck. I saw the entire event in slow fucking motion!
I used my truck to block traffic whilst another bloke tried to get the injured people out. It was hours later when I sat down to think about it and I sort of freaked out a bit. Yeah man, people do react differently!

You are correct. The camera work is incredible. Clarity is astounding.
And while I feel this tragedy deeply, I am speechless.....
It does look like a war zone. :-(
