I use to play Black Belt when I was a kid. Im looking for games to play recently and I see Hokuto no Ken. I already knew its Fist of the North Star, my fav anime. I start up Hokuto no Ken and when it shows you how much lives you have left im like wtf. Im guessing cuz of some legal reasons they couldnt bring Fist of the North Star to the states so they changed it up a bit and made Black Belt. It all makes sense why enemies break into lego pieces and why he goes into 100 fist finishing move.
That explains why Avenger was close to the ''DOOMSDAY button'' when Birdman was on coffeebreak and why that black pet vulture looked so suspecious near when the ELECTROTHANASIA RAY was about to be turned on by his Mad Scientist owner but was stoped by Superman.
They expanded Shin's role in the anime from what I've read. In the manga he faced off with Kenshiro very early, but in the anime they pushed their showdown back and made a lot of the other enemies that Ken faced his subordinates. This game seems to follow the manga's continuity and that's why it seems out of order.

I love when he does the hyaku retsu ken and just goes beserk too. I can kinda read Kanji and hiragana so I can make out some of what you said. That's how I know its that move. Otatatatatatatatatatatatata-wataa!!
You know what I've noticed? Every game adaptation of Hokuto no Ken ends up being freaking awesome. This one is no exception.
