You criticize 17 ... Rde8. But I think the idea might be to continue with Rxe2 Kxe2 Qxg2+ Kd1 Qxh1+, winning a piece.
And maybe this idea would even work for Black in the game on the 19th move. After capturing the Rook on h3, Black will immediately be playing for mate with Qh1+/Re8, since the White King on d1 can't escape to c2.
@langengro so re2 wins a pawn and looks good! but there is no obligation to take on e2. in any event, it was bullet : ) no point in analyzing it very much

@langengro yep, you are right, i think re2 works! i think i mentioned it in the videos, but did not bother to analyze it out.

@langengro actually, however, after looking a bit closer, even after re2, i would probably just play rh2 or something (not take the rook on e2)
