id wish the president could lead the way in positive thinking and i guess the potential does exist, but listening to these two candidates makes me want to puke. the only difference in their military agenda is who they want to destroy next. again its people like you trying to spread the message of peace that we can get things to change.
do you side with any of the presidential candidates? which one do you think connects more with your idea? again, thanks for the great post!
i just visited your site today and im glad that there are people out there trying to make a difference. somehow i think that the internet will in the end be the media outlet responsible for freeing our minds from the polarized media giants. i guess the main obstacle is making a credible mass internet media outlet, there are some but i have yet to find one that everyone knows about.
i like what your saying but i would have to disagree. as soon as you get government involved especially in the media (which it already is) shit tends to go wrong since the government will always push their agenda. instead we should support our public radio and shows like democracy now that represent what i guess everyone would consider a liberal agenda. But i find that impossible since we are glued to television and watch the likes of bill oreilly and keith olberman for example.
Thank you for your opinion. I think a President can inspire positive media by simply setting an example and telling the world that it is time to break the eye for an eye cycle. The whole world hears our President, and if our new President tells the world that we would rather CATCH violent extremists (if possible) instead of killing them, then he would set a wonderful example for the children and people of the world. This alone would positively effect our media and education.
I do acknowledge what you're saying about the negative aspect of government involved in media, but I can't deny the potential of a President and government that has an agenda of breaking the "eye for an eye" cycle around the world. If we have a President and government that is more evolved, then they could influence the media and education system in such a way that it truly helps to unite people all over the world. In addition, We the PEOPLE can really change the media.
thank you for your question J0e...my view on it is that if we are to use all forms of media (TV, Radio, Internet, Print, Fiction, Non-fiction etc) to raise the collective consciousness of Humanity--then we ALL have a role to play, including the President. The government already influences the media (including our education system, which is also a form of media), and there is potential for that influence to be much more constructive than it is now..
Yes, look at Gravel's videos. How he talks about the power of love, that gay marriage is a commitment between two individuals who love each and if there's one thing the world needs more of, it's love. How affectionate he is toward other people, touching them or hugging them, the genuine affection he has toward his wife. His willingness to encourage and participate in other people's creative efforts (The Rock and The Fire videos). Yes, the answer is YES.
man..what a great question. i hope that hits the big screen. but i suggest u simplify the question so that it can get played..cause u hit change right on the hat man.
lets use media to help spread the need for stillness. It is through stillness that peace will prevail.

I know what you're saying, but don't you think that this also requests government influence in the media ?

ignorance is the motivating factor that leads to fear and violence. Communication is the key.
