I really love this. I never would have thought such a modern beat would fit the imagery so well. I love Anne Boleyn and the passion between her and Henry just made the Tudors first two seasons [I have certainly had less interest in the subsequent seasons]. Their story is so enticing, the forbidden intense love. Gorgeous.

I watch the series and watched the film - though I love Natalie Portman, the other Natalie was superb as Anne Boleyn! And the series is way way more intense, interesting, moving, beautiful... the acting is FANTASTIC - all the casting is amazing and Jonathan Rhys Meyer, Sam Neil and Natalie Dormer should have won an Emmy! As well as Trevor Morris as the composer, the costume creator, the art director...

I haven't watched the series, but I really want to. However, I think I wanted the movie version, the one called The Other Boleyn Girl... or something like that. Starring Eric Bana, Scarlett Johannson and Natalie Portman. Is it pretty much the same story?

The series has more adult content to it while the movie is a little more accurate w/ history, especially w/ the characters' story, thus I prefer the series more than the movie. I mean I love Natalie Portman but I prefer Natalie Dormer's portrayal of Anne Boleyn here. You can really feel her passion and emotions. I suggest you check out the series too. Jonathan Rhys Meyers did pretty good playing King Henry.

yes.. you should. but if you're conservative enough, beware of the R rating. but if you're mature enough to think that those scenes are just normal, then go. watch it. And yes, these two can definitely act. I love their chemistry. I prefer the brunette Natalie Dormer than the blonde one. LOL

Novelist28 - the Other Boleyn Girl is based on a book by Phillippa Greggory and in reality bears very little resemblence to either the book or even the most basic and well known historical facts. You can get Season 1, 2 of the Tudors on DVD, and 3 to I daresay, when they realease it. the Tudors certainly have more ref to the facts than the film you mention. Its okay, the film, just I found it a little disappointing it was as though they couldnt be bothered with it, - odd one really

I would reccommend watching the series because although the other boleyn girl was amazing. The tudors series 1 and 2 really protray anne and henrys love for eachother, so if you havent see it you really should because its so worth watching if you like the Tudors (:
