  • who the fuck is justin beiber goddamnit i see his name everywere and i want to know who he is

  • i love the lyrics for this song, great video too.

  • Great song!!!

  • @joanjetteheart this song has nothing to do with that.

  • I love the video clip for this song - it's so instantly recognizable and unique. Goes perfectly with the mood of the song.

  • @krisryu

  • @investmjr ? ok

  • @investmjr

Everyone knows all Smashing Pumpkins fans love Justin Beiber

  • @NoseBleedKing LOL I just thought I'd say the name because the name Justin Beiber is brought up on every single video on YouTube. If you don't like the band, you are automatically a "Justin Beiber fan" by default.

  • @krisryu that's why the first line is 'disarm you with a smile'. It's like saying, be nice and just smile at people who may have been mean to you in the past, because that's what they least expect...so it throws them off completely. Instead of getting angry at his parents and screaming at them or being violent, he wrote an awesome song and sent his message to them through that way ('send this smile over to you'), letting them know that he was hurt by them in his childhood.

  • @krisryu basically about billy's rocky relationship with his parents when he was growing up. he said (jokingly, I think) that he didn't have the guts to "kill them", so instead later on in life he decided to write a beautiful song about how he felt, so that they'd feel bad for treating him badly as a kid.

  • I just discovered this on my Ipod, currently my favourite song

  • never gets old

  • crazy, i used to listen to pumpkins a few years ago when i was in my early teens, haven't listen to them for years. Now it seems like every day I find a new song of theres that I love again - you know that feeling you get, when you remember how much you loved something, and your left realizing how much you have missed it...

fucking love this song.. and Billy is soo hot in it! xox

  • Billy Corgan's voice is so amazing in this song.

  • @JonasBros4eva100 are you a faggot, you listen to pussies like billy corgan and justin beiber, and your name is jonasbros4eva, rofl what a failure kid. grow up before someone chops your balls off. Imature cunt.

  • @iiahmad I DONT LISTEN TO JUSTIN BIEBER. I do however love The Smashing pumpkins

  • @iiahmad didnt know the little sheephad balls

  • @iiahmad Go troll somewhere else. You are the immature* cunt. You are the reason I believe in abortion. Go drive your car off a bridge. Oh wait you're 8 and you can't drive, and police officers don't take too kindly when 8 year olds steal their grandfathers cars. So maybe you should just hang yourself instead. Don't hate on Billy Corgan or any member of Smashing Pumpkins. Go die already.

  • the song is bout him getting abused when he was a kid so when he got older and he had a kid he wud abuse the kid

  • This has been my favorite band ever since i was 8 and now i'm 19 and their hasn't been a time were I've dislike one of their songs all their songs are awsome and Billy is one heck of a song writer. I Love the Smashing Pumkins.

  • killer in me, is the killer in u

  • Do you want to go to limbo with me?

All it takes is a bowl of reefer, and a Pumpkins song.

    Blast off.

  • i love this song its sung with such feeling!!!

  • Sodomy is such a part of you!

  • @Random5able What has been heard can never be unheard!!

  • Liked this one from the first listen. Brilliance. Mood music.

  • jo I just dedicate this song to my parents... tough one but they got it at least...

  • in your face lady gaga. this is how you make music.

  • Never listened to Smashing Pumpkins before but I just heard this song at the end of an episode of The Shield (S05E10), Shazam'd it and here I am..

    Awesome song!

  • @BoogWeed I remember the episode. Lem has to go on the lam. It doesn't end well for him.

  • makes me feel again

  • Def more current teenagers need to listen to more 90's music. If it takes playing guitar hero than so be it . As long as people listen

  • @worldcitizenforever how about you suck my ass?

  • the swinging you at the start looks like the fallout 3 guy

  • enjoy

  • Mañana en el MTV World Stage Mexico

  • @worldcitizenforever shutup, troll.

  • Such a beautiful and haunting song. Never gotten sick of this no matter how many listens.

  • @planb198 the radio where u live must suck then D: 98 rock baltimore plays around 4 dif. pumpkins songs, and loads of older metal, yet they still manage to play the brand new singles ^^

  • i think the why people hate these guys when they are young, and when they get older the absolutly love them is beacause when they are young they dont understand the song and what it is trying to express.

  • @hugeozzyfan1 - I think when people hate them when they're young, it's because they're poser sheep following the flock instead of developing their own taste in things. They want to like what everyone else likes and they don't figure out what they like until they grow out of that phase.

  • Gret song.

  • i like zero because when i get frustrated with life, i can just crank it on and not want to break everything in room, at leat for a little while

  • Please everybody! Don't fight over the Pumkins for some crappy corporate rock bands! This song is genuine, true, eternal and timeless.

  • delpierochilipeppers you summed up exactly wat i think. This is an awesome track but to all those proclaiming evanescence, my chemical toilet and three days grace as real bands ive got a lil suggestion for you........... take all your albums burn them and start again

  • @illyiana Hey! Don't fuck with My Chemical Romance! They're way better than Three Days Grace, and Evanescence! You have no idea what you're talking about!

  • @illyiana Hey, watch what you're saying about mcr! listen to Helena and tell me that's crap. They have some good music on their older albums!

  • This has got to be one of the best songs of all time. Not only does it have the lyrics to reach out to an entire generation but it can also reach out to an entire age group, then never get old. It also has a great musical backdrop that adds so much power to it that it's hard to believe that the human mind can create such harmony and convey such emotion. Truly timeless.

  • I cry everytime I hear this song. Wow, I'm 14. I thank Guitar Hero cause that's where I found them at!

  • this is my favorite smashing pumpkins song !

  • excellent tune

  • Everyday is a battle waged between the mind and soul...but music like this is an outlet and time is the only solution.

  • 90'S and the 60's were when music was real-

    Enough said-

  • @jmInDreams yes

  • @jmInDreams I couldn't agree more. Sometime I wish I was born 30 years earlier or 10 years earlier. =(

  • @MrInfiniteSadness

Well I am just glad I was a kid of the 90's............

  • This is my favourite song in the world!

  • eines der schönsten Lieder von pumpkins

  • this is such a great song and a video! <3

  • The Pumpkins played this last Saturday (August 14) in Seoul. It was just Billy on his acoustic, with Jeff playing the string section on his electric guitar. It was very easily the most incredible version of Disarm I've ever heard. Absolutely stunning in its beauty. See it here: /watch?v=O-ttFbgfRNA.

  • @TampaRed Actually, this is a better quality video of the same Seoul performance: /watch?v=mGcHXLhyG-4

  • Powerful stuff. Gotta love the Pumpkins.

  • not too sure what this songs about, but when he says i used to be a little boy on the radio it makes me think of when i was kid, and now im driving to girls houses haha.

  • i love how billy corgan can't actually sing all that well at all but his voice lends such much to the band and is so distinctive, like kurt cobain's or jim morrison or robert plant

  • @ytrewqasfd i wonder if you realise that it takes major talent to sing like billy cargan

  • @notquiteabrain well im not a singer...so yeh i don't...whatever

  • The favourite song of my sister how is in a hospital again, and the doctors said she was cured of her terrible disease. Fuck, how i wish I could see her smiling face again, instead of a face that's full of pain..Think i get drink another beer..

  • the artistic quality of this video is historic...the images, music, lyrics are all so powerful and soft at the same time....makes my heart race and stomach boil...absolute genius

  • god, its so fuckin hard to make a song as amazing as this, i mean imagine what you have to go through to write a masterpiece as this, if you play an instrument you may know what im talking about

  • this song makes me melt.

  • connorkelso wtf are you talking about. you better be making a joke

  • his voice sucks so fuckin bad

  • @ConnorKelso Dude, no it doesn't. You obviously do not know great music. & That voice of his gets him alot of chics. What does your voice get you? Probably just your mom ^__^

  • @ckyrox66 Your mum jokes always work.

  • @ConnorKelso

    heeellll yeah

  • there is no doubt that billy is 1 of the best vocalists ever, and this songs just proves it.

  • who would try to resist the innonce of the Pumpkins?

  • Giríssima esta musica, ficara a anos a tocar e quem gosta de admirar!

  • Who can't like this song can go f themselves!!!

  • tear me apart,,,,, (sorry poetic streak abandoned me) nxt time

  • thhis song makes u feel sad and alone but then u realize its just a part of life SP u have awseome music

  • i used to be a little boy

  • Who can't love this song...bad ass

  • absolute best pumpkins song......i think likeing the smashing pumpkins in one of those things that u begin to appreciate as ur musical tastes mature,,,,i use to hate then when i was kid but as i got older and started listening to good music not just shit on the radio i realized how amazing the pumpkikns are....their is so much more to them the Bullet With Butterfly Wings.....that seems to be the only song people know

  • @PlanB198 I liked 'BULLET WITH BUTTER FLY WINGS' when I was eight

    loved R.E.M even longer other good band you will are Poets Of The Fall ;

Breaking Benjamin ; and ; the Red Hot Chili Peppers . god blessyou , and let

me know what you think of them all .

  • @PlanB198 i totally agree with you. i think people should listen to more other SP songs besides bullet with butterfly wings...its a great song but there are to them then that one song. but i've always liked the pumpkins haha and this song saved me. like i used to hate pearl jam. but now i love em as i gotten older, just cuz people think they know even flow they think they know PJ

  • @PlanB198 exactly i couldn't stand them when I was a kid, but now I absolutely love them.

  • @PlanB198 I dunno man.. I liked them when I was a young kid and I still like them 12 years later.

  • @PlanB198 Uhh. This song was played the hell out on the radio when it first came out. It's still on the radio quite a lot. Everyone knows this song. I'm not trying to be an asshole but this song was "Mainstream" big time.

  • @PlanB198 same thing happend to me like when i turned 10 i realized what i listend to was crap

  • @PlanB198

Really? If anyhting, I heard This one, or Zero, or hell, even Tonight Tonight more then i heart Bullet with Butterfly Wings.

  • @ theRealBadguy,

Man where you been the past couple of months Billy has been giving away songs and there is soon to be a 40+ track box coming out (maybe less that 40 havent seen specs) Hes been putting stuff out slowly.

  • where the FAK are these guys lately anyhow man? wtf..

some really great music, great melody deep meaning love it.

come back to us billy, bring some new stuff.

  • I just want to like...grab his face and hold his hand while he sings <3

  • There is nothing I want more in my life than to tell Billy Corgan he saved my life.

  • @chtadical he's just another person, go find him and tell him. I'm not being funny or anything. It is too easy to just do these kind of things. You only live once. Go tell him.

  • @chtadical Music is powerful

  • @chtadical You know billy was beat the crap out of by his stepmother, they had an interview on "American Proformances"

  • @chtadical

    Twitter him @Billy...

  • @chtadical write him a letter, Dude.

  • ABSOLUTELY !!!..(CAN YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE !? I'M STILL SITTING HERE SPEACHLESS)...WOW...THIS SONG STILL LEAVES ME WITH SO MUCH THOUGHT AND EMOTION ...FEELING GOOD, YET WITH A VISION OF LIFES PAST AND HOW AT TIMES IT HURTS,...THIS IS A GREAT SONG !...ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MUSIC HISTORY'S ARCHIVES GREATEST !...THANKS GUYS !.."I SEND A SMILE OVER TO YOU"..."BECAUSE WHAT I CHOSE IS MY VOICE" !..."WHATS A BOY SUPPOSED TO DO" !...TAKE CARE, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU,AND THOSE YOU LOVE..>(ARCHANGEL-DEFENDER)

  • lets go back to a time when you

    came home from school,

    turned on MTV,

and then had 3 whole minutes and 19 seconds to leave your world for this one

  • 2:15-2:18

he looks just like Gerard Way or mcr. lmfao XD creepy

  • @ThrashRainbow Yeah. Billy actually joked that Gerard was his child in one interview.

  • @mcrmaiden

awe how sweet<3 i love them both. Smashing Pumpkins were always my favorite when i was little, and Mcr was my band of choice like a few years ago.

  • This is pretty great in it's way!

  • justin beaber is a cunt.

  • @Tobougg yet you have the dignity to write his name down on a smashing pumpkins vid... you do share a lack of shame with that name you just wrote

  • incredible just incredible

  • an absolute masterpiece

  • i think this should have been the ending song for FF7 Crisis Core

  • for people who dislike this song seriously needs a total musical re-education.

  • I miss Billy Corgan's hair

  • Billy Corgan is one of the best lyricists who ever lived.

  • Has nothing to do with SP's really. You have to read all of my comments. I was commenting on previous comments, and I was talking about Zeppelin and ACDC as the most influential. That's all the credit I was giving them. Just using Rush as a comparison because I feel Rush deserves more credit than ACDC atleast. Much better musicians. Oh and if you want a band Rush inspired try Primus.

  • Popular consensus calls them rock legends. I say there are better bands out there now, and back in their day. I would give them credit as some of the most influential bands, and artists in history. However if you want to compare them musically to some 80s bands you'll lose. Lyrically ACDC is out of the question, and zeppelin stands a chance. BTW RUSH>Zeppelin.

  • @XxzealerxX how are they one of the most influential bands in history, their insanely good, but name one band influenced by them,

  • Comment removed

  • sush a beautiful song, Disarm and Mayonnaise are my favorites on the Siamese Dream album., So beautiful

  • what the cramps r u on about?? bieber??? f him and hollywood , just enjoy the songs and clips u find on youtube.... b4 big brother cancelles all

lol...."enjoy life" (2 many quotes, by 2 many big males/females)

    peace out

  • 0:01 - 3:19 best part!

  • the original Pumpkins lineup need to get back together and save Billy from himself...SOON!

  • @ sc88aa: puddle of mudd? evanescence?my chemical whatever? linkin park? three days grace? REAL MUSIC??? HAHAHA you made my day!!!! when you say all that bunch of lazy mother fuckers i say Led zepplin, the Doors, Dire straits,Tool ,Pink floyd,Pixies,Rage Against the Machine,Joy Division and many more...your examples of real good rock are shitty as the Jonas Fuckers

  • @delpierochilipeppers just because some bands aren't as old as good musicians like the doors, but it doesn't mean they aren't real music. He said real music and rock n roll, those bands he mentioned are rock n roll bands and play what i would call "real music" Idk how the fuck you define that. Yes I like most of the bands he mentioned, and most of the ones you mentioned also, and i HATE the jonas brothers. So seriously calm the FUCK down, people have different opinions in life, deal with it.

  • @doodlesanc14 sc88aa was the one who started the whole "toss away other peoples opinions in life" thing. And yet your defending him and flaming del for also tossing peoples opinions away. Funny. Really. The difference is that the band's del listens to people actually had to play an instrument to make, not hook up some turntables to a computer in a studio. Real music is music made by humans and musical instruments. So most of the bands sc88aa said made fake music, or shitty music.

  • @delpierochilipeppers Just because you don't like some music doesn't mean its not music. I hate Justin Bieber with all my heart but he still makes real music because I've never heard fake music before and nobody ever has.

  • @delpierochilipeppers woah woah woah three days grace and linkin park are good

  • @delpierochilipeppers That's just the opinion of 1 person, alot of people prefer that music over the doors and led zep because its the music they like.

  • @delpierochilipeppers yes! we need more people like you!

  • You say Taylor Swift,I say Breaking Benjamin

You say Lady Gaga,I say Evanescence

You say Miley Cyrus,I say Slipknot

You say T-Pain,I say Three Days Grace

You say Eminem,I say Linkin Park

You say Jonas Brother,I say My chemical romance

You say Flowers,I say Puddle of Mudd

92% of teens have turned to pop and hip-hop.If you are part of the 8% that still listens to real music, copy and paste this message to 5 other videos. DONT LET ROCK N ROLL DIE ! , P.S Thumbs Up If You Agree

  • You know what I'm sick of.. People saying You say Jonas brothers I say this etc. People who say something they know alot of people agree with and ask for thumbs up. People who say this many people missed the like button just for thumbs up. Come up with your own original comments. Also just because you listen to overrated bands like ACDC, and Led Zeppelin doesn't mean you are a classic rocker. Fuck Stairway.

  • @XxzealerxX Dude, Zeppelin and ACDC are not overrated. They're better than all the other crap bands from the 80's. They are rock legends. If you don't understand that then you are really, really stupid.

  • @DrAwesome999 ACDC is garbage. Have you ever tried to play an ACDC song on any instrument? A two year old could do it. Led Zeppelin however...

  • I didn't say they weren't, I said alot of people call themselves classic rockers when all they listen to is Zeppelin, ACDC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or Pink floyd. They haven't even heard of bands, or artists like ELO, CSNY, Rush, ELP, BOC, David Bowie, Queen, SRV, Cream, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Moody Blues, ZZ top, Traffic, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, Grand Funk Railroad, Bob Dylan, and many many others.

  • @XxzealerxX why are we talking about classic rock, because half those bands u listed arent classic rock, rush is prog, pink floyd is phsychedelic, ac/dc is hard rock, other then rush none of these bands have anything to do w/ the sp's, try Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains

  • @sc88aa

I know this is a stupid chain thing (I see it a lot on comments) but I want to shake some sense into at least one other teenager.

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS NOT ROCK.

  • This is my tragic, haunting, but comforting anthem to dealing with the the molestation I endured at an early age. Billy & the Pumpkin helped me turn away from the dark and claim it as an experience. And for that I will be eternally grateful.

  • what a great song

  • Holy shit, this song is so amazing! I simply can't get enough of it.

  • oh my god HAIR <3

  • i send this smile over to you. <3

  • The Killer in me is the Killer in you.

  • "And cut you like you want me to Cut that little child Inside of me and such a part of you"

The child that he was is still be inside of him (that's the case for everyone). This child is a part of his parents ("of you") because he is their son.

  • abosolutely brilliant

b4 the band started to disintegrate

  • It's not about abortion. He was mistreated by is parents in his childhood and he take revenge (disarm them) with "a smile" instead of by being violent like them. (Billy said that he choose to make a beautiful song). The killer in him is the killer in his parents = it's what is was learned by them because they "killed" him, and now he do the same to them.

  • LOVE IT...... EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO IT...... LOVE IT

  • This is the Smashing Pumpkins I knew and loved. It's just not the same anymore.

  • Billy has fucking hair.

  • timeless and endearing...a song that truly transcends time as a classic

  • O_____________o

  • The man walking in the tunnel? is there any meaning to that?

  • @LOLZALOT696 Tunnels are often used to symbolize time. That would make sense for this song. But that is just a guess as to why here. Actually, it may not mean anything at all. ; )

  • i love the bell

  • one of the best songs ever........ love it

  • Este corte es simple y llanamente perfecto. Es lo que a esta década sin nombre ha aportado el Butterflies and Hurricanes de Muse, pero en los 90.

  • Brilliant Lyrics:

"What I choose is my choice"--> As we do not really have free will, our choices require no further explanation.

"What's a boy supposed to do"-->We can only be who we are, there is no other option.

These are some of the best lyrics in the histroy of rock, in terms of describing the human condition.

  • This song is great, but dear god do his vocals suck.

  • @FireathosX i dont think so
