gwugluud, You have to bounce tracks somewhere 7/8 is as good as anywhere,( don't forget you can still use 7/8 as a track too, so you can record on 1234,56,78, so effectivley 6 different tracks then bounce all 6 to 7/8 V2, then just press record mode twice to get it back to input then you're free to do use 1234,56, again and bounce that with the previously bounced 6 tracks now on 7/8 V2, that will go automaticly to 7/8 V3 mix the drums in at this point, then master the whole lot, this will go to
Hi! I was wondering if you could help me with this issue. I'm trying to figure out how to activate the metronome to record my songs. It is driving me crazy and I couldn't figure it out with the manual. Thanks!
Just got a used BR 600...I notice there's no flexibility when bouncing tracks! You cannot assign rec'd tracks to 5/6. You MUST bounce only to 7/8, at which point you MUST commit to mastering! Of course, the manual is very vague on this particular thing. I'll have to use my CD recorder / burner to transfer tracks, then refeed them into 1 and 2, I guess. NOW I understand why the BR600 was discontinued.
Hi ... I wanted to know if the BR600 is able to produce a final song in mp3 or another format I'd be able to convert to MP3. I need a simple recorder and to be able to get to the finished product (whole song) either from the device directly or with some software with a PC. Thanks!!
I am having a hard time when I record a song, then want to record another. I cant figure out how to break up the songs to different tracks, then put them on computer. it only wants to put one song on computer, it says other tracks empty?
i was wondering if you could help me, i've got a boss br-600 but i'm having trouble saving a single song to my computer as it only saves the first track and not multi layered tracks (ie if i play guitar on one track then sing on another..only the guitar is saved to my computer) any advice would rally be appreciated, thanks very much :)
@bubsy1990 I've found that if you pull those tracks up as if to play them simultaneously then press a new track (7/8 for instance) to record them to, then when you chose the track to send to your computer you choose the 7/8 track then lo and behold the whole song is transfered. This has to do with "bouncing" your other tracks onto one final track, which is the track you will upload to your computer. Review pages 44-45 for more info. Hope this gets you going in the right direction
Please Help! I have this recorder and it is a gem. However, I am getting the EVENT FULL message as I have been using the punch in/out quite a bit in my project. The manual says to run the optimize function but i get the same EVENT FULL message when even trying to do that! The same goes for deleting. Same message. I have a 1GB card which is nowhere near full (only recorded on 4 tracks) Im so stuck now.... and can go no further without some help anyone else had this problem?
i need help, whenever i record guitar on the br-600, it alwais seems bad quality, like not loud enough, its alright hearing it normally through the headphones but when recorded it looses quality, any help :)?
Hey I'm having trouble with pitch correction, I follow the steps in the manual, but there's no difference in the sound of my voice. Is the pitch correctiion similar to an autotube effect?
Ok so iv done it brfore but I cant figure out how to record two tracks and have them playing on one track simultaneously??/either using the V-tracks or by just using the 5/6 or 7/8 tracks help anyone???
Thanks for the tutorial. Check out the songs posted on my channel which were recorded with a br-600. Does anyone know if there is a way to delete dead air at the beginning of a song once you are done with it?
Do you recon this multitrack comes upto anything like the loopable functionality of the "RP20 Loop station" Being able to repeatably over dub over a loop.
to record real drums, u could use a second mixer as a submixer and plug in the required mics and then connect that into the br600 onto two tracks (stereo).
it seems there is a vast conspiracy to keep the common man in the dark about how to use this machine. i own it and have had nothing but frustrations. if you will only be using 6 tracks per song and no need for the drum machine, it is absolutely perfect! if not, look elsewhere (unless you just enjoy being extremely frustrated)
How do I get my recordings to sound amazing like yours??? Go on my profile and listen to my song Neo-Classical Metalness, and it sounds terrible. How did you you get yours to sound amazing. Also, what if your song has tempo changes. It seems to me that the drums have to stay at the same tempo the whole song. Is their any way to fix this???
thinking logically, i dont know about the internal settings on the BR but the best way probably is to record the drums by playing the track manually and record this as a direct recording.. then add the rest of your ensemble as normal. hope this helps.
7/8 V4 and you have a high quality recording of 11 tracks.

Use the cut track edit across ALL tracks with 0:00:00 as the beginning and the actual beginning of the song as the end point of the edit.
